McLaren F1GTRThere weren't any reverse lights either. 👎
...............umm i think you mean heel AND toe.......JW31lol. that's true...
i don't really care about nuetral crap and clutch crap. whatever crap.
it'd be cool, if there was actual clutch... and GT Pro Froce came with 6 speed gear shifter... THEN there would be heel to toe! whoohoo!
Awaji IslanderIf they made starts where you could false start, then it`d make sense to have neutral, so you could rev your engine before hand. And it
Brilliant point when you can false start like in F1 04 the intesity of the start is so high compared to the gt system. sitting on the line holding the perfect amount of revs one hand on the shifter hoping you nail the start do you risk it and attempt to go early ( this system would requitre one of gt4p 's 10 second penalty if you jump the start) or do you wait cautiously and get blown by the other 5 cars it adds an elment of excitment to the race
true but since gt4 is delayed till 1st quarter 2005 in australia ive got nothing to but discuss all the little insignificant bulls*** that hasnt al ready been discussednarutoDude you need to get yourself a real sport car so you can actually do some realistic driving. cuz it's like real life, Don't you think? Come on man I don't think that the GT series is 50% close to real life yet. We'll have to wait untile GT10 to see that happen. Not untile they have clutch that actually work like real car does then I will bump up that 50% to a 60 - 65% range. I still think that the GT series is the far best racing simulator ever, but not close to real life yet. So untile next time class, JUST BE HAPPY THAT GT4 EVEN EXIST! UHH OOOMKAY. oomkay class.
The trouble with leaving it in gear is that it doesn't coast nearly as well, so you'll lose more speed than if you were in neutral. Of course, if they have a proper fuel usage system, we will be able to test both these theories and use them each accordingly.FamineWouldn't work.
While the engine is disconnected from the wheels it requires a constant input of fuel to keep it at tickover. With the engine connected to the wheels and with no throttle input, the wheels drive the engine and no fuel is used at all. The best way to save fuel is not to have the car in neutral, but to have it in gear and not use the accelerator.

maxterA three pedal setup with clutch function in the sim would be great though... as an option... for those who want to turn it on/off depending on the realism they wish to encounter.
Having spent my fair share of time on the track driving competitively, I have yet to race a complete race without using the clutch...
