If you want to test cars, you can always go to arcade mode and test them there.

Umm...

-Are all the cars in Arcade Mode? No, they must be added by purchasing them in Sim.
-Are there 1/4 mile, 1000m, or Top Speed tests in Arcade Mode? No.
-Is there a way to tune the car and then try it? No.

You sir, are shortsighted.

to all of you complaning about the autosave thing:

this game has a b-spec mode. this mode makes it possible to earn lots of money veeery fast & easy. if you wanna test drive a car, make some more money, have no more worries ;)
you´ll have to buy the cars to unlock them for arcade anyway, so what´s the matter?

I'm with you buddy. It wont bother me at all. We will just have to play the game thje way it was meant to be played. I welcome this feature.

I am special
Amar,

Could you tell us if you can use an analog tachometer whilst using the chase view. I do not like that digital piece of crap :yuck:

Yes I too hate that digital thing which I despised so much in the 2player mode of GT3. I wont be enjoying driving manual at all if that thing stays digital. Infact it might ruin the whole game for me.

Agreed, it's a pretty poor choise. It may force me into a different view (bonnet, maybe FPV)...
Anyone remember why it was put in? I remember an excuse going around, but...?

Yup, I have no problem with the auto-save feature. Just means the cars that I do buy are all that much more important.

👍

This kind of attitude really pisses me off. I mean, why the hell should you care how other people want to play the game? If the auto-save feature was left out, then you could still save after everything, and people that don't want to wouldn't. Making "features" like this just restricts your freedom in enjoying the game the way they want. Personally, I really like making a load of cash and just blowing it on a car and driving it for awhile on a few different tracks, then restarting and buying a new one. Now, it looks like I can't do that, and people like you act like I am some kind of jerk because I wish I still could.

:yuck: reminds me of the tack in the s2000, give me analog

Would this work?

First take the memory card out and then buy a new car. Disregard the save warnings and just take it to Arcade Mode to see if you like it. If you do, then just save it. If not, just reset the machine.

Exactly shifting points can be crutial. I hated that as well. 👎

No one said you're any kind of jerk. You gave your opinion, I gave mine... there's nothing more to it. No need to get all emotional just because everyone doesn't agree with you... its the internet, it seems most people don't agree with one another while behind a keyboard... better get used to it. 💡

anyone know if the cars seen on this thread will make it to the US version? since there's evidence that they've been modeled and ifnished

IDEA: Maybe everybody with comment to each other here, can better PM somebody about it, refering to this thread and say what you need to say to someone more privatly and less annoying for the others but only an idea.................

ON-TOPIC: I don't think these cars that are in amar 212's PAL game, can be in NA because they obviously try to illiminate most of the bugs that are in there, while that PAL game is probably full of bugs, so it's proably not "safe" enough to put them in a FINAL NA version......

And what about the AI?? HAS this improved....................AGAIN ( )???
Maybe with all the improvements IT MIGHT GET CHALLENGING:lol:lol:
NOO....really.....I think the AI is fine, it's just that you almost certantly can choose a much faster car than the AI:idea:

If the PAL version is the same as the Japanese then buying a car and testing it (and getting it autosaved) is not a problem. Money is not a problem assuming the Toyota RSC Rally car is in the same place as a prize. Amar is that Toyota RSC Rally Car still the prize for the second Special Condition race?

I admittedly bought the Gillet Vertigo when I was playing the game and regretted it. I lived with the decision though, due to the ease with which I could get money in the game.

New small update info in first thread. Pics been managed to the one place there too.

Now, "ON the Fly Q&A".

ViperSan: What about the points while changing A to B-Spec?
Have no idea yet, didn't try as doing golding licences. Same quesion bothers me since got the info about that feature month ago. Maybe you just choose the way to finish the race, and then points go to mode you've finished in. Not sure. However, noticed that some races offers limited entry in A Spec or B Spec mode, which is a change compared to Japanese. Have to finally check that feature today.

Neon-duke: Rouletting the prize cars?
No more. You can obatain just one prize car per cup/championship and return to get cars in different colours if applicable. Licence prize cars can be obtained just once.

GTFreak: New cars in Used section?
As I can't cope with hundreds of Japanese models, I have found only one noticable new car - '91 Lexus IS 300. Additions will be shouted, don't worry. Check the pics of 5 new Lex and Audi Nuvolari in the first thread.

I am Special: Analogue tach in chase view?
No.

robin2223: Auto-slick-shifting for SL55?
Still did not buy it. I will buy white one today (as the first car :)), so expect your answer tommorow.

wadS: Improved AI?
Did not make any real races so far.

smellysocks12 (what a nick, man...:): Viper colour?
Red/white stripes, black/white stripes, silver/blue stripes. Talknig about the "old" model. New RT10 available only in red. Concept is in red/white stripes.

tractorGTR: Physics improved?
Hard to say from this point. Been only doing licences, but it seems to me that some "weight-feeling" has been added. have to futher check it though. Tommorow sould be the day.

mclaren777: Memory-card switch for cheating on persistant auto-saving?
I have froza my game because of that and corrupted save-file. So, I would not advise it. Notice that game saves lots of things (even wiith autosave disabled): changing cars, buying cars, selling cars... However, I have foound one usefull feature for the auto-save - saving while doing licences.

Jim X: Garage in LAN?
Just can't check it. Have no Ethernet adapter, as well as no slim console - and you have to have it so that game allow you to enter the LAN.

G-T-4: Buggy game?
Sorry man, my game is not buggy at all. It is final PAL bulid - even not "gold" - vastly improved over the Japanese release, especially in overall looks and the graphics. And as for cars, I guess all of them will be in NA, because lots of them are american cars: Chaparelle, Chrysler, Lexus (Japanese for US market), Eclipse (as majority of model being sold in Japanese and US only)... Also, the new tuner is Canadian.

Now, "ON the Fly Q&A".

Good stuff Amar 👍 Thanks !...

didnt have the time to read all the pages, so if this is already been discussed sorry, but does it work on hdloader (pc installed, since its dual)

News just in!!!: I am not sure if this has been mentioned recently but i will say anyway. i have just been reading the PSW magazine whereby it has the first PAL GT4 review as the main topic. It says how we have got real time 24hour endurance races, that we know, but it also states and i quote "Thats right sleep dodgers, GT4 lets you take part in a real-time 24-hour races and yes, thank goodness, you can save off your poistion mid race." I doubt PSW would make a mistake about this so furhter comments on this topic may be helpful...Amar?

EDIT: Just one more question, when your in the bonnet view, or the view where you can see the bonnet, is itpossible to have the analog rev counter rather then the digital, the digital one is crap!

Bonnet view in the Japanese version has analogue instruments so I don't see the PAL version is likely to be different.

I read that PSW review. Unless the size of the save file is bigger for PAL to accomodate this I am surprised.

Amar... some questions if possible:

How big is the save file from the PAL version?

Have you a screen showing the Mazda Crossport as it shows the Eclipse on Page 1 for it?

I already asked this, but is the Toyota RSC Rally Car still the prize on Special Condition Race number 2 at Costa di Amalfi?
