GT4 Photo Mode Storage Options

Mach5, no sorry as far as I know there is no way to frame advance the replay.

About the only addition from older game's replays is that L3 has been turned into a fast forward button.

But freezing the replay to take you into picture mode is just a case of pressing the Select Button, so you would have to be ultra quick on the button again just to catch it in a second? Plus every time you exit the photo mode back to the replay the game switches back to the replay track side view, so it would not be possible to do say an on-board clip at all really.

The way the photo mode works as well would not let you do it either, every time you press the Select button to enter the mode it seems to give you 64 different random angles to view from, so getting exactly the same shot every time would be next to impossible.

Added this.

I suppose that with Photo Travel you could do a sort of 360 degree rotation around a stationary car, or say a zoom in. That mode lets you move the camara view yourself to the Nth degree (within a defined plain).

So with a LOT of skill and Patience that could be done, but unless I'm missing something big, not a race or free run replay.

I don't know if this has been asked/answered yet, but hopefully someone can help.
Is it possible to save or upload your saved replays on a USB flash drive, like you do with the photos of photo mode? Or is it strictly on the memory card only?

I wonder if cyber shots work.......surely if it is memory stick......

to Melloboy, if you could get a chance to update the first page it would be really helpful, thanks :) 👍

So the Cruzar Mini does work correct?

Someone should get MelloBoy or a mod with nothing to do to update the first post showing what was confirmed to work so we don't have to scroll through all 200 some posts to find out.

if you guys have a external usb hd or a hd enclosure, that will work as storage for the photos, i am using my 120gb wd usb hd

It will?Cool.I have a 80GB Western Digital USB 2.0 and was looking to see if we could just use an External Drive to save the Pictures.Thanks. :)

Better to just use something you have then having to go out and buy something.Even though really do not know how much these Flash/Pen Drives cost nowadays.Though somebody said you could get one for like $15. :indiff:

OK Ipod owners.

What versions do work ?

I have a 20 Gig Click wheel 4g ? with Fat32 file system. Would like to know if this
has been covered.

Cheers
Rob.

Any Hi-MD player owners tried saving onto that yet? I got one sometyime last month and it would be great if Icould use in GT4 as well, i ask now because i am in the U.K am still waiting.

im sorry if this has already been asked but i dont feel like skiming through 10 pages. Does anyone know if a digital camera will work? I have a Canon PowerShot A60.

The Muller 512 unbranded MP3 player also works. This is unmarked with any brand, therefore it probably will be available in other places, with another name. If I can, I'll post a picture later.

If you use a wheel and a fat mem-stick like this one, then you will want to also get a short USB extension cord and leave it plugged into the second USB port.

Cheers,

MasterGT

Yep, must be updated.

I PMed Melloboy but he didnt respond? He is probably playing GT4 :sly:

The Lexar Media JumpDrive works! Thank god. I would've killed myself if it didn't!

Awesome. Just picked this up for 14 bucks at newegg w/rebate.

The Locust
Cruzer Mini 256MB works.

Just delete everything off it, format it to FAT 32 (you can leave whatever you had as a label, doesn't matter; mine's LOCUST 2) and just plug it in your PS2 and go. GT4 will save it to your USB drive in a folder called "GT4" with each image saved as "IMG0001.JPG"

Here's some info if it makes any difference:
55006 GT White Console
Chinese version GT4 Legit
Magic Pro mod chip (having no problems booting up, but that's for another thread)

For all you with a Cruzer Mini who's pissed off; ENJOY!

Damn! I tried all that on mine with no luck.

I have tried using my ZOLL 128mb flash drive, and all my images are at 100kb or less. I will be trying the "Film" option and reporting back.

EDIT: Problem fixed, the film wasn't set to super fine detail.

I bought a random USB thumb drive on EBay that had the brand "Elephant" on it. I won't link to the auction, because it's closed (of course). Worked fine, $20 (incl. shipping), 128MB.
