!@#$%^&*(*&^%$#@!!@#$%!!!!!!!!!!! 🤬

My PS2 has stopped reading GT4 🤬 🤬 🤬 🤬

Now I can't 🤬 play the best game in the business unless I get a new copy. 🤬!!

and with my laptop out of commission, my electronics have seemingly ganged up on me!

in relation to the series, I can't do any testing at all until I replace the disc. This may take a week or two (I'm very, very broke)

P.S. does anyone know how to fix a laptop transformer power connection? please?

Nasty bit of luck! Does your ps2 still read other games?

Oh Dang! What you touch granturismite? Have you tried cleaning the optical lense? Or maybe, setting the console on edge?

Man! Sorry to hear that though. Hope you figure it out eventually.

Sorry to hear that mate, I was hoping for the series to start in a couple of weeks...

The best way is to try other games, clean up your GT4 DVD, or just try anything! Also about that laptop transformer power connection thingy, I recommend you to get the expert to fix it for you if you have no experience. Can be disasterous!

Take a moment. Close your eyes. Breathe deeply. And relax. We waited years for GT5. We can wait a little longer. I'll just get beat some more over at FM3. I'll even use the cockpit view on any car I want. They all have them. :sly:

Good Luck.

Ok... PS2 works with other games, now to re-buy GT4, after I finish paying off Cricket fees.

So, I think the first race should be completed by Sunday Jan 23, and from there on a weekly basis (except Sarthe and the newly added Nurburgring, which will have 2 weeks to complete

All for?

Note: revised calander

I'll be changing cars. The Lister is just to hard to control as compared to the others. Have it narrowed down to two others. Is it okay to just submit the car with my first race submission?

Probably not... I think you should probably submit your car change before hand. I can tell you are using the race as a test, and I don't have a problem, but others might... just saying

HONDA Takata Dome NSX (JGTC) 2003 (JPN) (+1%)

I'm a sucker for NSX's, (especially the Mobil 1), and I'm glad to do something like this for once. Just can't wait 'till we start:)

Unfortunately I'm not sure if we will be starting racing until granturismite has his new copy of GT4, so you have time to request a new submission before the first race.

GOOD NEWS! Track testing is complete, I'm just waiting for granturismite to confirm.

Sorry for the delay guys. various technical issues...

Anyway, I got GT4 to work. an alcohol wipe works brilliantly!

Since the OPEL Astra Touring Car 2000 was the very first car I ever drove in GT3, I think it will serve me well. Car #82 will do. Thank You.

Ok. with the latest inclusion of Blues Deluxe we have 9 racers now!

This is magnificent!

I'm a gonna set up an Excel file with various data. will post results after each round

I have a little suggestion:
Why don't we put a difficultly limit, because people can slipstream off other cars, if they are faster, or slower. (I hope someone understands:dunce:)
This is so the opponents are about the same, so it is an even playing field.

This isn't a bad idea. In SuperGT we had ai at +10. It does help weed out the players that cannot pass cleanly, because they will be slowed down trying to get by.

I like running a high AI number also. However, it seems on some tracks with long straights at +10 the AI forget to apply the brakes. Some discretion would be advised.

In this kind of event, I think it would better to use -2 to -4, so you would pass at the beginning, and not worry about passing because they too slow.

I agree. Ran a quick test today & @ MAX difficulty & they "Clog-up" the normal line thru the first few corners before they pull away. I tried both 0 & -1 & both worked well. I was able to get CLEANLY around them before the 1/2 Lap point & never saw them again.

Driver: Shotamagee
No: 84
Car: Toyota Denso Sard Supra (JGTC) 2001

I Can't be arsed testing them all, ill just use the supra seeing as no one else is using it yet.

Cheers

Edit: are the weights cumulative?, (if not ignore) because if they are most of us are gonna get to +10 weight mid series. I'd suggest making the sum for the total weight penalties 0 (for example if 10 drivers: 1st +3, 2nd +2, 3rd +1, 4th - 7th +0, 8th -1, 9th -2, 10 -3, so total race penalty weight = 0) But I've never run a race series with weight penalties before, so it might be fine.

If this is a stupid idea, just say:
Could the person with the best lap time get a bonus point, no matter what position their total time was in the standings?

If I recall from superGT, I believe that once you finish in a position other than first, you are deducted the difference in weight added from first to wherever you finish for the next event... although that could be completely made up. All I know is that not everyone winds up at +10! :dopey:

Well, granturismite's thinking (and mine, for that matter) is that the lap times will be too hard to regulate since not everyone can have photographic proof.

Just one more thing:
Is pitting mandatory, because it is really difficult to stay on the course for that long, and pitting also affects final race time.
