GT4 really does kill gt3 in graphics imo

:lol: Fiat owns Ferrari right? I wonder why it is so hard to get Ferrari in, I'm sure PD has enough $$$ for the rights.
 
Just because one owns the other it doesn't mean they suddenly become the same company, each requires it's own licence, also FIAT owns Ferrari, FIAT Automobiles doesn't, but FIAT owns FIAT Automobiles, it can get confusing when you brin all the companies the FIAT own but FIAT Auto's doesn't and all the companies that FIAT Auto's owns. Basically Sony isn't/wasn't willing to pay what EA wanted to share the Ferrari licence.

I think the PD probably take the longest time to model their cars, from their real life counterparts. That's attention to detail and one of the reasons it takes so freakin long for new GT games to come allong. Although without the excellent car modeling, GT just wouldn't be GT.
 
It took 2 weeks per car in GT3, but in GT4 it takes a couple of days, they're using a much better system that's not only quicker but it uses less memory per model.

Well, i'm not going to say that just because FIAT is in, Ferrari will be too.

But some stuff need to be considered. FIAT is passing through a crisis. Some good publicity in a game, plus the money of the license , would be a good deal.

I wonder if PD tried to take the Ferrari license. With FIAT having money problem... makes you think,huh? ;)

PS: EA does not own Ferrari License. Ferrari is licensed on Out Run 2 (Sega) and Project Gotham Racing (XBOX. sorry forgot who made the game).

Anyway, i won't expect for it. If it ends up on the game : Good. a bonus. If not: GT5 still some years ahead.:D
 
I think EA still own it, Ferrari appear in thoes two games because SEGA and whoever paid EA for use of the licences, they would've had to pay Ferrari as well even though EA own the licence. But I don know that the EA licence was/ is running out not too long ago and Ferrari has been in talks with KY, I doubt tyhey will be in GT4 but it would be nice. As for the FIAT needing some money point, they can't offer a licence to anyone once an exclusive has already been signed, no matter how much it would help, they can't do it.
 
That would be sweet if they could get Ferrari. I heard awhile ago that they were negotiating with ferrari, lambo, and others, and that was a reason for the delay of the game. But i think there are more reasons than just that for the delay, if you can calll it a delay since there has been no official release date.
