I heard from some people that the GT-ONE (again) wouldn't be That fast.In GT3 it was slower then the R390(wich is just the opposite) and people are speaking it would be again slower in GT4.I think this is silly, it could maybe be a BIT slower then the R8 or the Speed 8( toyota is still in hand of the pole record on Le-Mans :) ) but slower then the R390???Common give me a break.What you fellas think about it??
 
In GT3 it's massively slower than the R390 - and not just on lap pace. It always pits earlier and more regularly than the R390. I did a quick 15 lap race on Deep Forest earlier (on GT3) and the GT-ONE was 32 seconds behind it.....

You've only got to look at both cars and you know the Toyota is faster :lol:
 
i think PD hates the GT-One that´s the only reason why they let that FAST car be SO SLOW in their game.....
and it´s very stupid, cause in GT2 it was the fastest LM race car!!!
and now?.....even the 350 Z Lm Concept tries to overtake the GT-One on Fuji in GT4 Prologue while the R390 gets a bigger start(3,4,5 seconds ahead the toyota!!!:<)

...but this car isn´t only faster than the toyota it´s also faster than most of the other cars!!!
i saw videos in that the R390 is on 1st position all the time(till the player gets him with a 787B for example)
OR IN B-spec videos that i´ve seen(many of them!):
the R390 drives that fast with its 550PS and 1100kg that it looks like 650PS and 800kg!!!!
and i even saw a GT4 pic of it in the car gallery and THERE IT HAD ALREADY 650PS!!!!!...so why does PD give this car such a UNREALISTIC speed???

YEAH right!...just look at the back of the R390: a truck???...sooOO square like THE BACK OF A FAT LORRY!!!
AND THE GT-One: AERODYNAMICALLY optimized, nearly perfect, very low,......FAST!

(ironical)really? maybe they just INVENTED the Nissan 350 z "GT AERO" in GTC, or just put in soooo many Nissans in their game cause they LIKE Nissan(i think kaz had nissan before as his DREAMCARS!)
just forget PD in some years i will buy this team full of NISSAN LOVERS and will change them against "REALITY LOVERS" who know which car is faster and where to put the car in the race field(R390 should race on 4th/5th position against Mc Laren and Panoz!);>

And the back of the R390 is very aerodynamic, cars don't reverse around tracks. The R390 is an incredibly fast car, the GT-One is faster in both real life and in GT3, tuned or untuned.

Maybe it is but......WHY DOES THE GT-ONE HAVE TO PIT EARLIER!!!!!!!!!!
 
The TS020, completely "stock", as it is when you buy it, will not be faster than the R8 and the Bentley. If it is, or if anything is (aside the Polyphony F1, of course), PD screwed up again. The TS020 and the R390 would technically be faster than all the Group C cars (the C9, the 787B, the 88CV, the R89C and the R92CP), because they're from another era, where technology and handling eclipses pure power.

That doesn't mean jack, the track layout has changed twice since that laptime was made...

hey live4speed just put in that GT3 DVD in your PS2 start a race on miedfield let´s say with the Toyota, drive 5 laps then drive with the R390(with same driving technique)and then just COMPARE THE LAP TIMES AND WOALLA!.....GT-One(my times) 0:58:793 and R390(which just handles/ accelerates/ brakes/ steers better)0:57:356

hey that´s right man!..i thought so, too!!
but 800PS against the 600 of the GT-One?...but as you said they´re from another era, with much better tires, aerodynamic, handling,........
but why are those Group C cars faster than GT-One and R390 and nearly all the others in GT4 then?
 
The R390 is easy to control, easier to get fast lap without any skills, the GT-one on the other hand, has the potential to beat everything out there, it just needs a fast driver with good techniques, maybe you should pratice more, just a tip.

MAKE SENSE!!!

For god's sake, I don't know how many times I've told you to make posts that are readable... your postings are just a bunch of exclamation marks and periods sandwiched between a few words. How hard is it to write stuff properly, so that everyone understands what you're saying?
 
The AI never drive to a cars full potential, if an AI driver doesn't bean an R390 using a GT-One, that doessn't mwean the GT-One is slower, the AI can't drive for ****. The fact is, the GT-One was the fastest non-F1 car in GT3 on most tracks. And as I've told you before, if you can't get faster times in the GT-One, you can't drive it to it's potential either, no disrespect I'm way off the record time myself, but thats the truth.
 
so you mean R390 (and others) are easier to drive but GT-One has MORE potential?....hmmmm.....but i think when a car has more potential then it should be very easy to drive that! When a car doesn´t steer that well, accelerates, and behaves as good as the others it IS simply slower and doesn´t have any potential that the others don´t have!

Anyway, in GT3 you can see the gt-one pulling away but then it pits!Man I hate it when he does that.But in GT3 I've completed the biggest part of the game with the GT-one and in GT3 when you fully tune the R390(ugly!!!) and the GT-one then you can see that the Nissan(stupid!!) is better in cornering but the Toyota(rules!!) is better on the straits.
 
Due the LMP rules GT1 class cars have smaller tires in tread depth to try to equalize their faster speeds with more pit stops versus the prototypes. In GT3, the stock settings used the front tires up very fast but tuned it lasted as long as the R390 when I took it to races 👍 👍 I hope their is a mission hall race with just LMP GT1 cars so I can show you what I can do with the TS020 👍

Thats is very, very untrue, it does apply in some maybe most cases, but it's not a golden rule trhat applies to all, just because a car is harder to drive, it doesn't make it slower, in the GT-One you can do everything faster, if you know how. If you can't set it up right or drive it right, thats not the cars fault, the GT-One in GT3 is faster than the R390, stop saying the R390 is faster and having a moan it only wins when the AI drives or on a couple of select tracks I can't remeber which but theres only 2 maybe 3 of them.
 
No the GT-One road car so far is not in GT4, I'd love to race you on X-link, you can use the R390 and do times you can't beat in the GT-One and I'll hammer you in the GT-One ;).

Try the GT3 section of the site and do a search in the tuning and settings section. I would now but I'm not near my PS2.

someone said it was selled a year before for 1,4 million €uro!!!!.....oh i wished to have that money, not to buy a house , not to buy some ferraries and other sportscars BUT just to buy this aerodynamical PERFECT car to beat all of you with your little Mc Larens and Ferraries and Porsches and.....
ah... what a car(it more looks like an aircraft!)
 
X-link as means of playing LAN only games online. Theres a pretty indepth thread around here somewhere that explains how to do it, I won't know how untl I get GT4 and try it out myself but it works.

I don't like Toyota GT-one Race car too much, but Toyota GT-one Road car is best car in GT3. So if it isn't in GT4 it's really dissapointing. Why can i drive 50 skylines and no Toyota GT-one Road car???????? Sometimes i don't understand what is PD doing.

you just said the words that i thought! :)
why (there are really 7 "different" Nissan Skyline R34s in GT4!!!) that much nissan and so few toyota?...the GT-One Road car is the fastest car in the world maybe, but it WAS the fastest in all GT series(since GT2) and i loved to ran with it in "POLYPHONY DIGITAL CUP" against those "normal" street cars! ;>
