Noice the real picture. The car is shiny becaue it is a bright sunny day.

Look at the cars in the background. Look at the road. EVERYTHING is shiny and bright.

Not so with Forza

Ok, I'll stop the meaness =P The car looks good but I dont like how the wheel look. They look arkward. It seriously resembles that of a RC car. That forza car looks no where as good as it could, there's no comparsion with that car and the real one. It just doesn't look right at all.

This is to help the members who obviously havn't cleaned their screens in about 10 years.

Whats that red brake shapped thing? Must be a red banana.

GT4 also has the same blacked out window detail of my RC car, so I guess that means Gt4 looks like a toy car too :P Earth, the game aint finished :P

No they aint :P If I can see em, I'm sure you can.

Yeah, but the brake discs looks comletely different compared to the real pic. The ground looks worse than in most of the Forza pics so the pic
may be a pretty old. They will probably fix that.

 is the realism that important? When i play the game, if the cars look pretty good that's good enough for me. The most important thing about a game to me is, is it fun? If the game can entertain me for several months, it did it's job.

You represent 80% of race car gamers

Alot of the people who posted in this topic are convinced that if GT4 does not up the realism over GT3 considerably Forza will be the new Racing king. This is flawed logic, as your post shows.

They think if the cars tires dont peel out easily and if its too easy to drive fast GT will loose it spot as racing king. This is not true

GT got to be as succesfull as it is now by the way the cars handle. Why change it to fit the fantasies of a couple of people who want the cars to crash and explode at the slightest mistake?

Well GT4 has apparently changed into a seriouse sim which is what I've wanted. Personally I'm all for realism up to the point of damage, where the bodywork should crumple like real but the mechanicals should be tougher than in real life. I'm also keen on the idea of GT4 having mechanical damage even if it doesn't have visible damage, again though it should be tougher than real life. GT is meant to be a simulation, until now it hasn't been, if people want cars they can plant the pedal in then go play some arcade game, GT3 was far too easy to control the cars.

Hmm makes you wonder if GT4 does turn out to an as close to accurate representation of the handling of the cars andyou find some dogs will this make actual car manufacturers concentrate more on styling and handling? Think about it, GT is a massive advertisment for the car manu's and if it has realistic physics and handling for each car then if a cars a dog it won't sell as well compared to a fun wee sportshatch that handles like a go-kart.

I was trying to make a valid point in here somewhere, but I think I lost it. :lol

I get your point but somehow I think the cars sales will depend more on the real test drive, what GT does do is it makes people aware of cars from all over, like TVR's which were unknown in Japan, now they sell them over there and the Japanese love them. It also made the Skyline a more recognised car in the UK ect ect.

Besides the manufacturers have more to worry about than how the car is represeented in GT, it's the cars reviews in EVO, Autotrader and the like that matter the most.

Evo is more high-end I know what you mean though that is the best review mag I have ever read, these guys know what they're talking about and they're not biased at all, but I was talking about hot-hatches, you know like the saxo, 206, punto etc that young people around GT's target age will be considering buying. Look at the SAXO VTR/VTS it dominated the market and Citroen knows this, the styling the performance and the handling make them a great buy for some half-assed fun !!

But yeah GT isn't that big yet I guess.

I read over a year ago that the only reason GT4 will not include damage, even thought they would like too, is because some of the car manufacturers would not allow PD to include their cars in the game if they damaged them. I'm not sure which car manufactures were stubourn enough to refuse damage to their cars in the game, but I my self am willing to give up a few dents and dings to be able to drive a handful of cars that might not have been included in the game at all. 👍

Check this gt3 lancer, imo, it looks better and more realistic than the forza one.

I dunno that image makes the car look moulded as you can't see any joins or lines clearly unlike the Forza rendition, maybe just a bad pic

This is no longer an issue as GT has established itself as a prestige title for auto makers to be included in and for a while now I have been reading that most don't care much about their cars being damaged now.

The last I heared from KY was that the PS2 couldn't simulate damage to the level he would want it in GT, and thats why theres no damage in GT4, no visual damage at least, theres still a chance of mechanical damage appearing.

What are you smokin' crack? Where did i say that Forza is gonna be the "new king"? I think GT is an unbelievalbe series and i love it. To me, the GT series is and will remain the king of racing games until proven otherwise.

Stop living in your fantasy world and think that everyone is doubting GT4. It's a ****in' game, no matter how good it looks and how realistic it is, if you're not entertained by it, wtf does it matter?

I made the xbox comment. Guess what, i own both. So your comment doesn't mean **** to me.

I have the ability to praise and ***** about both consoles, because i have played them both thoroughly. But it makes absoultely no sense for someone to rag on the xbox when they don't own one and have only played it a couple of times.

***** about something you've never tried just based on what you've seen and heard is just plain stupid. Wait till you've tried something b4 you ***** and moan about it.

Well guess what? I own both too, so I can b**** and moan all I want.

Um.......ok. You own an xbox, so my comment doesn't apply to you...... lol wow we just went in a full circle. congrats. Thank you for proving absolutely nothing.

[Remember kids, Gt4 is real, if you stick your foot down in a real race car, you will trundle away nicely.]

how would you know that in the final version of gt4 will be like that?? :dunce:
