Actually, I've played XBL numerous times at my friend's house (Xbox geek :crazy: )
So, sorry to break it to ya, XBL totally sucks compared to SOCOM and FFXI Online. (not to mention other online games).
BTW, whered you hear PS3 is going to copy XBL? Seems like a pretty stupid idea to me since free online is one of the PS2's strong points!

Are you serious ? XBL sucks compare to Socom ? LMAO !!! You never played MotoGP 2 or any racing game online haven't you ? You will probably come back with some cheap illogical anwser so don't bother ok.

Sony's below par PS2 online network is not an opinion, it's a fact and a well known one at that. Sure not EVERY game on PS2 online is really bad, but at the same time if you've had a bad experience witrh one or two online games on the X-Box, you have to be willing to accept the same facts, hence not every game online on the X-Box is really good. Overall the X-Box live has far greater support than PS2 online, if you dissagree with that, I'd love an explanation.

While the structure is inferior it has alot a support.

Maybe over in Japan, but over here I could probabyl count the number of games that use it with my fingers.

I also don't own a Dodge Charger but that doesn't make it a bad car....

Are you refering to England live? I went to ebgames.com and and there were 40+ online titles in America. Some werent even on the list like Tony Hawk Underground 2 and NFSU2, even though their online.
 
He wasn't being literal, he was making a comment about the genral attitude of people here who don't have X-Box's. Ofcourse there are exeptons but in general people here are overly negative towards other consoles.
 
I just watched the Sauber on the nurb, in Gt4, I'm amazed seriously.

My point is, I'm still waiting for Forza to show me something that mind blowing.
 
Mind Blowing? Nothing in either game is mindblowing tbh.No offence, but your standards for "mind blowing" must be pretty low. The only racing game that's come close to mind blowing for me, is the vid I saw of GTR with 50+ cars on track, on screen at once. That was pretty incredible, just for sheer numbers XD. Man this is so off topic ;)

Does look good though ofc.

i think you might be a little bit harsh toward GT4. I have played Nurb on the GT4 demo and it was looking good. But more it was hell to drive. It's just my cup of tea.

The fact that GT4 looks as good as it does on PS2 should be "mindblowing" to you...

From what I have read on this thread so far, I concur. BTW I have XBOX live and have had mixed results. With PGR2 back last spring it was very good. However this past fall with NASCAR 2005 it was lousy most of the time. There are a lot more people on XBL now and that may be a factor, although there are many other factors that can affect the online play quality.

Yep, here in Englind. There probably is more than ten actually butthe number is not a lot especailly compared to the X-Box where theres more online games than offline now I think.
 
I totally agree with the fact that Gt4 looks superb! Forza isn't too bad either, and when they in the final build gets all the Anti-Aliazing fixed, and stuff.. :sly: im pretty sure it'll be just as good!


But since i wont be using every hour on fine tuning a skyline into perfection.. it just seems wierd to have so many cars of the same model and brand, even though you say that they're different on the inside.. but then again! this is a video game, you'll never feel that feeling of acceleratin from 0-60 in either tuned skyline or a stock.. so all that little differencies wont be noticedable at all! Neither will forza have this!!

But since theres so much customization in forza.. the less amount of vehicles arent too bad!! 💡

hey forza now has bspec mode with drivatar except it maybe cooler. You go through a bunch of test and it will rate your skill based on how you do in the test then creat a drivatar which you can use to run your races.

Not a forza fan boy by far but its starting to kick some interest in me.

Nascar 2005 is made by EA. Anything EA does online is not very good.
 
Didn't EA put Burnout 3 online? Fantastic implementation (thanks criterion). They are fully supporting Xbox Live now though (a boon for MS from last E3), so all their future Live enabled games should be solid online. That doesn't mean the actual games will be good however. EA specialise in mainstream popularist trash, only getting quality titles when they buy other devs.

I'll just play GT4 and Forza and be happy me thinks. I forsee ZERO trouble with Forza online, Xbox Live is terrific even with my crappy slower (ADSL) Aussie broadband. I wouldn't bother playing PS2 online though - its just not its thing until there's a killer app worth making me do it (hint hint GT4: online). Halo2 still dumps on every other other console online game from a great height however. The PlayStation brand needs something on Halo2's level if people are to take it's online abilities seriously (they've missed the bus this generation unless there's a massive surprise hit). Enjoy whats good on each platform, they're both definately worth owning.

I'm leaning toward the XBox right now...... but there's just somthing about Gran Tursmo Series a certain aura hard to explain.... The X Box is all grunt and power and I think GT captures the essence of driving more *shrugs*

Xactly!!! its like comparing a GTi to a F-150. sure the truck more powerfull but its still fell like a bowl of oatmeal next to a car like that

SegaGT Online was really bad but the rest of the game were smooth and very enjoyable. The MotoGP Series was awesome. Toca 2 had a pretty good online experience too.
