Okay. Depending on how many don't like does tracks, i may take them off the series

This should be the race series to end all race series, and I think it's a good idea. However, it may step on the toes of the Formula 1 World Championship, as well as others.

P.S: Grand Valley is a good course; I voted for it.

I would've voted for Costa'de Amalfi, but it wasn't in the poll (albeit being in the first post)

why don't you try looking at the poll. it is on there as i said that i may take it off if there weren't many people that liked it.

An interesting concept, but I don't know if it'll work. If I may, i'd like to give you a few pointers on running a series as you're still kinda new here.

This is an awful ambitious launch into series hosting. A big problem I see is we already have a F1 series, a SuperGT (JGTC) series, a Le Mans series, a DTM series, etc. One step is to pick something that no one has done before, and/or something specific that might interest the community. Tyre King did it with his Historic Group C series, and CAMikaze did it with his ClioCup.

Also, You might consider narrowing your focus for another reason. Even though we have over 100,000 registered users on GTP, the sad part is there are MAYBE 50 drivers who consistently race in the series. There are more in the WRS, but some of them don't have the time or inclination to put in the effort of a full series. Running with so many groups, you'll only have about 1-2 cars per group, or a group of 6 people, and some with no one. I tend to run into this with my Le Mans series, one group inevitably runs with 2-3 guys.

Testing is also VERY important. Posting maximum HP and Wgt settings is a start, but that's where YOU start. A 500hp JGTC RX7 and a 500hp DTM Mercedes are completely different cars, and their settings need to be adjusted so one does not totally dominate the other. I personally test each car for my series on up to 3 different tracks, adjusting weight and HP settings to come up with balanced lap-times for all the cars.

With testing for equality comes a big issue I see. You just cannot run a series in GT and Arcade modes. You will have to pick one or the other. For one, setting adjustments in GT Mode make for a HUGE advantage over the guy running Arcade. Another is that HP and Weight adjustments do not carry over from Arcade to GT or vice-versa.

Another is tailoring the cars to the tracks in the series. While a great track, Costa D'Amalfi isn't a race track. There's no tire wear, no fuel consumption, and there's only 1 AI car to race. It's a rally track. Also, running a Formula car or Prototype at Motorland would be miserable. you'd be on the TCS or spinning your tires the whole way around. The rest of the tracks are good choices, but you'll have to pick tracks comperable to the cars you're racing in. For fast cars like these, I'd add in le Sarthe, or El Capitan, or even HSR.

I'm not trying to discourage you, the concept is good. But there sadly is a LOT of work that go into running a successful series, as I found out the 1st season of GTPLMS. Keep at it and I'm sure you'll mold your series into something we all will enjoy being a part of.

How about if we... never mind. Perhaps a small team can manage each race series as it goes, or all these events can be totalled for the 'GT Planet Cup', or some other major award. Each series win would count for a certain number of points, and the most points would fetch the person the cup, and something glorious. like a free GT Premium account.

Of course, this would not happen very frequently...
