Gave it another go at like 1 AM last night,

best t1 was a 25.901
best t2 was 45.00x
 
Nailed the last section, and beat my previous time by .7

I had a few 45.7s and a 45.6 but couldn't convert it. That section after T2 is way more difficult to do then I initially thought....
 
T1: 26.855
T2: 46.812

Gets more fun the more I learn the track, really struggling with the last little chicaney thing...
 
I have no idea why I'm going so slow from T1 to T2. I found another .2 in there by taking the hairpin with a different gear, but I still need to find another .7 to .8 seconds and I'm not seeing it. :indiff:

What gearing is being used, and is there a special tire combination that is better?
 
Hello everyone,

Just got to run a few laps. :D

I like the race even though I'm not a fan of the track.
Excellent use of the Hotlap format CFM.
This car doesn't lend itself to competition with other cars too well since it's really an odd-car-out.
However, on the track by itself at full quick tune. 👍 👍

As for my racing...
Hard to say as of right now.
It's 9:30am and the TV is being covered by the reflection of the morning sun. :(
Finding my real time will have to wait until later today, tonight, this weekend, whatever. :p

However, for the time being I am running in the mid 47s at the last T time.

Should be able to hit a high 46 with work (hopefully).

Anyway, it's great to be back racing a bit (even if I am going to be last in D1). :D
Can't wait till I get some laps in later today when I get home from school.

I like the combo, but i cant make myself race it for a long period of time for somereason. The precision turning, and splitsecond braking points are realy starting to get to me :Crazy:

Splits ive seen:
T1 26.311 (target 26.3)
T2 46.0XX (target 45.7/6)

What was there to hate, you say? Let's see... Apart from the car, the track, the fact that we had it in GT Mode, and pretty much everything else you can name? Uhm... I don't know, I think that pretty much covers it, though, don't you think? :D :sly:

And if by "GV race" you mean Week 15 with the Honda Gathers Drider and by "devastated" you mean the fact that I won in what used to be my division back then (Division 2), well, that race was way better "fun factor-wise" than the next one, despite the AI.

As far as I can tell, this race doesn't look too good either. I run a few laps the other night, and the thing oversteers like "some really bad word that I am not really allowed to say" and the walls just make it all worse. I will probably try with harder tires in the back, so I can counteract the oversteer a little bit and get some powersteering going on, but if it won't look too good even then, I'll just give up.

This weekend (Friday, Saturday AND Sunday) there will be an airshow in town with tons of RC airplanes, food and hot chicks. And they are all looking better than the Jaguar already :D

Hey Kolyana, I'm now in Div 1.

I have an improvement to a 26.7 // 46.3 but I can't remember the decimals. I'm almost the slowest in D1, great time to be promoted... :( (Although I'm having a hard time even with matching D2 times) Maybe by the end of the week I will be slowest in D1 💡

A fearsome battle going on up front with all the fast guys this week. It will be mighty interesting to see who prevails! Maybe they will get tangled up and let a couple of us second stringers slip thru. :p

Don't plan on that. ;)

I'm a permanant D1 resident (more or less) because I set the standard for D1 qualification times back when the GT4 WRS was started.

So, even if I keep on doing poorly, I will always be bound by my time as the WRS admin.

I have no problem with that though. :D

I don't race in GT4 to be a "winner." :lol:
There are other reasons besides that. ;)

Of course, I have a feeling the fast guys probably write that comment off as being something only a slow racer would say but to them I say this... :lol:

@kent, thats a respectable moto~ ofcourse racing is for the fun as well

" I just shaved almost 2 tenths of a seconds off my WRS Race!" I said proudly
"Two tenths of a second doesn't really seem very important." she replied.
"In the WRS we deal in tenths and hundreth's of a second all the time, they're very important and.....oh never mind, you wouldn't understand ."I grumbled
" Oh I understand dear, after all I've been sleeping with you for years!"

26.664 <-- I keep screwing this up now, normally was getting 26.3xx
45.986 <-- seen 45.80x on a 26.55x

I'm finally starting to find the speed missing in the middle sector. What gearing is everyone using? I started off at 320, up to 340, down to 330, back to 320 now. And what about tire combo? I tried RSS/RS but I find I was sliding just a little too much and went back RSS/RSS.
 
I use 330, and ss/ss. I gave s/ss a go, but it didnt seem as fast. And as for gears, im not entirely sure, 340 is slower than 330, but it maxs out, so i guess 320 may not be as fast. Ill give tis combo a real go later for a few hours and get back to you. Nice splits by the way. Im definatly mesing up the middle sector, i go from 26.3 to 45.9
 
Ooooh, got some splits, s**y splits but they will do for now.
t1 - only a 26.4 seen .2 and a run which probalby would of been a .1 sept i crashed into wall just before the split.
t2 - 45.9 seen much lower on higher t1's :s

There is one question mark on this lap. Coming onto the straight leading up to T2 I jumped up on the curb next to the wall...I'm 99% certain after much photomoding that I didn't actually touch the wall. Here are two images of as close as I see the front and rear coming:



I checked the data analyzer and I dropped 1.9km/h between two frames but I'm certain it was the hitting of the curb because it's not a normal curb, it has a sudden rise, and also because it doesn't spike downwards twice which I would assume would happen if I hit both the curb and then the wall?

Is the curb fair game? What should I do? Is someone willing to have a look for me? I can supply a PAL .max replay?

i have the exact same problem... still didn´t check the replay...

sorry but i´m NTCS... but i´m pretty sure the curb is ok... looks like a hit but its not

Me too... I hadn't yet checked the data acquisition yet. I haven't seen any curb that's caused speed loss though so I'm guessing that the curb is high enough to be a short wall? I'll have to defer to CFM on this one...

btw, still no clean splits worth a damn... May not be doing so hot this week and I haven't put much time in, yet... COULD be a late night tonight though! :^)

I'm just topped out here folks and really getting frustrated with my luck here the last I dunno 2 months? I may be done here for the week, and I'm sick as a dog to boot 👎 :grumpy: I got a 45.930 ONCE and blew it of COURSE! IMO God is just a kid with a magnifying glass.

thats one of the few kerbs in the game that i generally consider to be "part of the wall" more than it's "part of the track".
all depends on what cfm says...

and to anyone thats whining about my baby not turning... it's not the cars fault... she just doesn't like you. :P
the 220 has been my favorite GT car of all time since gt2, so don't say bad things about her. :grumpy:

anyway, looks like i have my work cut out for me.
