GT4 WRS Week 6: "Step Into the Ring!"

Struggling to keep up in Div 2 and with the top D3 people...

Had time to squeeze in one (half) lap this morning, and made:

T2- 1'07.5xx (needs ALOT of work)
T4 - 2'14.3xx
T7 - 3'54.0xx

Then I crashed... still, 2.3 secs up on my previous best of 3'56.3 at T7...

More tonight... :boggled:

It makes no diff... Since it points to the same link as daans post, it's cached locally..

GOAL #3 ~ Run a COMPETITIVE CLEAN lap (Got to pass goal #2 first :p)

Good News, after 4 weeks, Max Drive showed up finally 👍
 
Yeah mine showed up after 4 weeks as well ... was even delivered to my dad's street address ! Will get it the week-end, but I don't think I will need to provide a replay with my times ... :crazy:

Sorry if it has already been posted (too lazy to read the 100 posts I missed), but this is the way I'm dealing with this race :

Step #1 : Have B-spec Bob winning DTM a zillionth time (Check)
Step #2 : Sell the prize AMG Mercedes and buy the TT (Check)
Step #3 : Run a safety clean lap (Check, T9 = 5'32)
Step #4 : Practice enough to get a consistent clean sub-1'10 T2 (current step)
Step #5 : Practice enough to get a consistent clean sub-5'00 T9 (soon)
Step #6 : Try to get a full clean lap (miracle required)

If I can't achieve step #6, I'll submit the craptastic safety lap and proceed to :
Step #6b : curse CFM and hope week 7 will feature a slow car on a wide track. (Citroen 2cv @ Test course ?)

Nothing to worry about there Kolyana...I've not done anything since my last post a few pages ago...! :)

Though once I'm off work & back home, I'll be trying to improve on my current times...

Had time to run a few laps last night and all I did was confirm that I have no idea what I'm doing... hehehe

Improved my overall slightly, but T2, T4, T7, T9 splits were all slower by a few tenths. I made up some ground in the last 4 turns. I was +4s on one lap and couldn't bring it in cleanly. Ah well... maybe I'll find time over the next few days.

I'm just one of the division 2 drivers the division 3 drivers can beat up on.

I've been hammering on this tonight and things are starting to shape up a bit, even though I had a relatively poor T1 the rest of the lap was pretty solid for me:

1'05.158
2'10.254
3'46.513
4'38.730

I think there's around one second left for me and that will just about max out my talent this week, it's just a matter of getting it done. :lol:

Nice times CFM, its good to see you actually racing again since you became "head WRS dude".

Looks like i have some more drafting to do, with a bit of luck i can get my T9 of 4'39.1xx back and i will draft you down Dottinger-Hohe and pass you under braking into Hohenrain!

Such a good plan now i just have to execute it! :sly:

Still quite a way off where i want to be though.

:drool: Whao SRD, losing time :scared:. Talk about SHOCK & AWE. ( picks my jaw up from the floor ) . Your sector times do you and Div 3 proud, though I think you ought to know they make me feel very depressed :guilty:. well done so far 👍.

Thanks for the kind words there Steve..but when I see T-Times like the one posted by CFM...it's gets my blood boiling cuz I know I'm just as fast on this track as he...or at least I *think* I am.. :D

As for making Div 3 proud...I'm doing the best I can! LOL!
I'm at least hoping for my 1st podium finish...but we'll have to wait & see how things go over the weekend! I'm keeping my fingers crossed I can stay ahead of the pack...hehehehe!

Well..it's time to actually get back to 'work' before my boss finds out what I'm doing! :D
