GT40 SUPERCUP ROUND: SEATTLE CIRCUIT II

Ok, round one! This will be a 5 lap race done in Arcade>hard.:) Enjoy!👍

PM your times to me by sunday the 16th of may. If you havn't PMed me your times by then that will be your bad luck and you wont get any points for the race obviously because you didn't get your time in.

RULES

No hybrids.
2 wheel's on the track at all times, the rumble strip is part of the track.
Try and keep the race clean.
No power upgrades, except oil change.
Do not change the tyres if you are in the road car series.
You can use any tyres in the racing car series.
Before the race you must hop on one foot around in circles and say the alphabet backwards, then do the chicken dance.:lol:
Oh, and have fun...and if you don't! *Shakes fist*

Sounds good! It'll be togh being consistant on that course especially with the downhill section. But you all got plenty of practise doing it on that licence test didn't you!
 
yep yep Im definately looking forward to this one - Im a big fan of the jumps on this course. Its backwards right ? so we catch some air at the end section of the lap !!!
 
Yeah, it'll be fun but I expect the Road Car to be a handfull.
 
I know, Especially on the first chicane thing. This will be great. I hope this one will be real close!
 
Just to reconfirm so all is equal - we run this in free run and start with a flying lap, not a standing start. ?

Yes, this will be close. I like this track, what with all the veering corners and stuff.

It took me about 200 tries to gold this one in 1'29.819. (S3 license I think)
That was only 2 months ago, I hope my thumbs remember the way they did it :lol:
I hope I can still lap on a regular low 1'30 basis.
 
I'm in 1st!:D I didn't think I'd make it with that last time, but I did!
 
Can you tell me how you modded the car and your settings?

So if it's 5 free run laps, how do we save it to check that it's clean? Also how can we go back and get sector times/lap times if there is a dispute?

db70: Can you post your sets for that track or PM them to me, I am very skeptical of your time and I want to see if I can get anything close to that time.

I know that. The honour system relies on you being able to go back and check your splits because that is one of the major points of proving a lap time. If you can't save your 5 laps, then you can't even supply any splits. You know your lap time 'cos you wrote them down. Splits are gone forever.

In my view, any racing competiton needs to have saved replays. This one doesn't. This one can't.

I'm not being awkward. (Well, I am really! :p ) I just think that if it's 5 laps we are doing, then it has to be a 5 lap race.
 
Well Rhis racing competition does not have saved replay because, as far as I know, Radicool doesn't have a sharkport, i don't and I don't think many people do.

This is why Im always going on about a standing start - We ideally should have a 5 lap race in order that we can save our total times.

When I ran Tokyo I actually watched the replay and supplied my split times to Radicool in my race PM.

What does anyone else think of the 5 lap race rather than just 5 free run laps???

Quickest single lap so far I have a 1.25.8 (or so)

I don't know. The AI might effect the race times. But it will effect every ones times so it wouldn't matter.
 
well did anyone give you their split times for the pre-season race ??

I think daan had a good point.

It makes it more interesting with AI being there BUT which cars would be in the race ?

If the GT40 beats them off the line then doesnt meet them again I suppose it'd be OK but it would be a pain in the ass if they were with the car through all 5 laps, if you know what I mean.

 
I had done some 5 laps races with the GT40 Race Car and 5 AI cars. That was indeed a pain in the @$$ not to touch any of them. I used to finish 3rd or 4th, way behind the R390 and GT-one cars.
 
The road car doesn't have a problem with AI. I just did a hard arcade 5 lapper, and I was past them by the first corner.
 
I did an arcade mode race once with the road car. It was real easy. I raced the Zonda, ZZS, Elise Motorsport and others.
 
So what are we saying then ? You can run in arcade mode > race mode > 5 laps race on the hard setting and pass the AI before the first turn ?

Should we race like this instead of just free run. I think it would be a lot better for the cup.

were you racing in the "hard" setting or "proffessional" ?
it seems that daan has selected "hard" and beaten the AI hands down !!!
 
Ok. Races done in arcade mode! And that's that.:)
