I'm always driving flat-out :D That's why I have so many problems getting clean laps with a GT40.

So we're now running in Single Race, Hard mode (professional is 10 laps, BigJames) and so we have a standing start. Exactly what I had been starting with for the very beginning in Tokyo.
I'll practice tonight.
I ran 9 laps yesterday, with only a 1'30.2 for the best lap, and only 2 laps rather clean (I mean only 1 or 2 wall brushing).

I practice yesterday both in Free Run and Single Race and with both cars.
In Free Run I never had 2 clean successive laps, so 5 in a row would require a miracle.
In Single Race, I just can't be first in the chicane and turn properly at the same time. I manage to be first, but then I'm on the inside and I cannot turn without bumping into the wall ; or I stay wide on the outside but then I need to let all AI cars go and I stay 6th.
I wonder how I can post anything this week without being ridiculous.

I ran yesterday and chose arcade mode then hard setting and selected the GT40 from my garage but I was faced with the top class of AI so didnt get round them on the first corner ?? It kept on giving me the quickest AI cars to race with so my lap times are somewhat comprimised !!!

I'll keep on with it and see how I get on

it's due in a couple of day and I'm not started. I think I'll sit on the fence for this one. *dissapointed*

I know its been decided not to let you race this week CFM but it would be good to see your time with the GT40.

I've run this a few times already and each time Ive been faced with the R390 and the GT-One (among others). I manage to get by the GT-One in the first lap but not the 390. My times are probably quicker than in free run because I'm behind the 390 for some of the race (I know its an advantage but you'd do it Im sure !!)

I seem to struggle with the right hander after the first long straight - its very long and its a slow corner, Im forever hitting the inside wall trying to turn in too early.

I've managed to shave off 7 secs or so from my first go (total time that is)

So with another effort on sat/sun I'll be spent !!

Why is it too late to join ?
The Cup is not overcrowded, and the deadline for race 1 is this week-end. Were we in a kind of democratic organization, I would vote 'Join us'.
After all, I joined my first ever cup after race 1 was over, and accepting anybody at such an early stage of the Cup seems fair to me. Even if the guy would crunch our own times by 10 seconds a lap.
Anyone else agrees ??? :odd:

No ? Then just consider that even Blake and Radicool didn't start practicing.
So ???

I've done for now and my time is submitted. I managed a 1.24 during the week but couldnt manage under a 1.25 for the 5 laps.

And Radicool before you post the next race can you PLEASE make sure the AI arent there or do something about it. I dunno about anyone else but I got well annoyed with the 390 smashing into me all the time, he messed my lines up !!!!

Nope, i didn't run it. 1) Because I didn't really have enough time on saturday and sunday and 2) because I didn't really like the car and track combination, I don't know why I did!:lol: I will be entering round 2, to make up for all the points I didn't get!
 
nevermind.

well me and daan are the early leaders !! Hopefully we'll get some more competition in round 2.

Where is round two being held ?? A special stage perhaps ???

AHA another entry !!! I knew someone else must have run this.

Check PM box radicool - Its gotta be in there somewhere ??

Im sure the results board could be updated if there was a problem with the PM ???

Sorry for posting again but this is a different topic.

There aren't any times listed on the results part of the thread. Wouldnt it be a good idea to put the times down ? And say give some points for the quickest lap time too ??

I didn't enter because i have been putting it off with h/w and stuff and by the time it was due it was too late and i couldn't be bothered.
