gt4's the human element and Bspec

ON the GT4 website it says something like "It'll be possibly to complete GT4 with out even racing". But, that'll be boring. I probaly wouldn't even bother with B-spec mode.

Hey man, The file name says tgsgt4-2.mpg and tgsgt4-3.mpg
Did I miss something, say for egs, like : tgsgt4-1.mpg?
Anyway thanks for the vids, downloading rightaway!!! will get back as soon as am done finishing watching..

I thought you meant in the pit stop...certainly looked 3d to me. Or do you mean steering wheel :confused:


btw there are plenty of cars in Prologue with 3d rims, just not the ones with multiple spokes like the HF Integrale. The Ford GT's wheels have plenty of depth. They seem to reserve a certain number of polys for the wheels, and if it goes over the limit..whack on a 2d bitmap :)
 
yeah but thing is the 2d bitmaps looks crap. sure you wont really notice that much while racing, but say in gt3 when it says 3, 2, 1 you can see the square-ness of the bitmaps, and alongside a beautifully rendered 3d car, it looks tacky.

Yes it sure does look tacky, especially when the "camera" is close to them, but I can see why they do it. Those multi spoke alloys, or the wire spoke wheels would probably have more polys in each of them than the whole car :lol:

Lots, think about it, if you can do interactions in the game, like hear the commentator in there or something it will be awesome, you could dress up team cars, test them out on Autocross, obviously, it's more fun to race.

But when you beat the game by driving, you've got a whole new game to beat with the second mode. 👍

Anyway coming to the trailer2. It looks Soooveet....
I got a question though. Will the PitCrew Behave differently with different strategies? Coz if they Animate the same way everytime, it would be kinda boring to watch, not that it matters, but the thought just came to my mind.

Do you still auto-drive in pits? If you manually drive in the pits, I'm for suregoing to run over my crew. :lol:

What ive read about that B-spec mode, I dont care about that B-spec mode!!! I want to drive myself, thats part of the GT feeling!!!!

I'm for sure now that replays use the ingame graphics because that Bspec vid looked just like a normal replay.

That's what I thought, unless the author of the video did video editing, how can you go from choosing your track, car, and more options, then goto straight a replay? It's logical that it's B-spec mode, unless there's some parts of the video that were cut out. It doesn't show that the person loaded a replay either, I didn't see a loading screen.

Edit: What are you trying to say again? I think I mis-read your post. :guilty:

I was thinking, well, what's up with AI pit crews? Because apart from your mechanics the pit area still looks emty. I wonder if we pit at the same time that an AI car, would the second pitcrew be visible?
 
B-spec you view the race basically from a replay except it's real-time, and just like a replay you can select in-car, out car and tv style. It even says this somewhere explaining B-spec.

I believe so, note, that this was Single Race mode and only one driver on the track, so they couldn't show more pit crews, I'd like to see a video of someone pitting in a AI race. 👍

Umm did you watch the same vid as the rest of us? It was a 6 car race only difference was the players AI car was the only one that pitted.
 
Well, in second video, the one with the b-spec mode, it was an AI race, but still only a player pit crew visible.
