GT5 1.11 Update scheduled for 29/8/11

Been online and have completed about 15 races with no problems or locking up tentatively positive here.

They 100% have a LSD installed :lol:, I'm not daft. I can go into the LSD and the nubers are in blue to show they can be adjusted but I press the left cursor to move over and it doesn't :( not only me either - https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=220888

Oh yeah it really is a bug.
And this is really weird: I could adjust my Integra Type R '04 LSD settings just a few minutes ago (yes, after the 5.11 update). But after I bought LSD to my Lupo Cup Car I couldn't adjust it. Then I went back to my Integra and I couldn't adjust that either. Weiiiird why I could adjust the Integra before that?! :confused:
 
Still running system instability after 1.11. Most of the time it's when I get out of the UCD or seeing a car from the premium dealership. The screen stays black with the silver GT logo centered of the little Gran Turismo logo lower right. Each case i have to quit the game, few times the ps3 reset by itself. Very funny.

That's not funny. :sly:

I've noticed that it happens only if you quit your game during a saving process of the game.

So, better give it a bit time or you could end up with a corrupted gamesave, wich will lead to another "Uhh, I've just everything" whiner thread. :D:tup:
 
Everything is freaking slow with this update. I can't even load a single event :yuck:
 
So looks that the patch broke more than it fixed...
I'm tempted to skip this one, but then I'll need to miss online... hmm...
 
Anyone notice their save data file grew by 1000kb or so?

My second account did. I haven't loaded my main account yet to see if it changed as well.

My second account went from 720kb to 1740kb after the update.

(i know it is small, but it is just for duping)

I don't quit while it's saving. It's like the loading just freeze.
 
I find accessing menu whether it's in race menu or the GT Life menu is lighting fast compared to where it was before. But unlike most people, I've only one game installed on my PS3 (and that's GT5).

*I can't see one of my friends on the circuit, and he can't see me.

*We have all been disconnected from the server at least twice

*Sometimes someone will be seen pulling off to the side of the circuit and stopping there for the rest of the race, when they are actually still racing.

*Was racing fine in our little group, then all of a sudden we all get disconnected and can no longer join one another, as the connection attempt is refused every time.

*I CAN NO LONGER ADJUST THE L.S.D ON FRONT WHEEL DRIVE CARS.

Not a good update if you ask me. Some of the menus seem quicker, but it's brought on further problems

I used to get this way before 1.11 and still get it now :( wish I knew how to fix it.

Happens to me alot, also not sure why.

I think everyone now has this problem I know I do now.

Agreed! over all this patch update has gave more more problems then fix's. I never experianced slow load times so can't tell if they're quicker now. Only had the occasional black screen freeze at race exit, so not sure if thats fixed or not.
 
This patch didnt broke anything.

Durin "DEMO" mode instead of showing races only it also shows tracks which is a thing I didnt noticed before.

For several people it did break something. I won't be downloading this patch. Not right now at least - don't want the LSD bug and new game freezes.

Exactly. You can't tune the car, except for driving aids.
 
Just did the Trial Mountain Circuit one...On the last lap, I hit the bump at the last corner, and ended up rolling across the finish line, and won by 1 second :D

nascar event to easy and you can't turn of skid force recovery. Some think they hav efixed the drafting abit giving it less draft. I noticed it in the nascar event that you only get draft when real close to the car in front. We did some online races with the mclaren from arcade garage and it seamed to pull up when in a draft, it didn't pull up too good before the patch because of that flap break thing it uses.

According to Kaz's tweets, LSD bug on FF cars is, or will be soon fixed.

Hmmmm... So I'm not the only one that noticed the slipstreaming/drafting seems to be toned down?

No, only offline. It's not like I can really compare the before and the after, because I never took measurements of how big the drafting was... but doing the Nascar seasonals it really looked toned down to me. Like, I was 10 meters behind a car at the beginning of Rome straight and ended the straight still behind him, around 2 meters.

Hopefully it's not placebo :)

Thanks. Did kind of notice this on the Seasonals as well, but I was putting it down to not reaching top speeds (hardly even hitting fourth gear) that you do when on Daytona or Indy, where it is really noticable.

Will test tonight.
