Im not poor and stupid enough to enjoy NASCAR. I wasn't born with a plastic spoon in my mouth.

Hey dude, I'm not poor ($75,000/year) I'm not stupid (College degree) and I enjoy NASCAR, its my favorite sport. I suggest you back off of your comments and quit stereo typing those who do enjoy it. Really getting tired of all the cry babies and NASCAR haters on here. If you don't like it, simply don't play it and quit whinning about it. You all are acting like a bunch of 5 year olds. Get over it, seriously.

I have to admit, while I was doing some B-Spec remote Nascar races, I actually ended up watching Nascar in split screen, and I found it to be quite enjoyable. :scared:

Don't worry, his post was a South Park quote. ;)
That episode actually agrees with us NASCAR fans (that it's not easy to do etc.).

NASCAR is pretty popular in the online lobbies and I'm sure everyone who is racing those cars will be happy with the new choices.

I started racing NASCAR in GT5 because of how many races there were and even though I thought it would be terrible, it's not. The races are very intense when you race with people who know what they're doing.

I'm happy we get these cars for free in the update, and for those who want something else...well there's supposed to be DLC.

The races are exciting. I find it not uncommon to have the top 5 or 6 cars finish within 0.01 seconds of each other.

I just hope that if they add a Dodge, they add a Nationwide Challenger...

The races are exciting and intense if you can get a room full of good drivers. If I have a chance to finish up front with the leaders without getting wrecked, then I don't care so much if I win or lose. Just the thrill of good clean competition is what gets my adrenalin flowing, a race ?high?, you could say, lol.

it there any special with 2011 models?

The removal of the Splitter and Splitter braces and a resculpted nose for all the makes, which should help in handling and downforce if they done it right. Spoilers are more round as well.

Some have different schemes also. Jeff Gordon paint is now Drive To End Hunger. Kinda odd now that I think about it as they relesed his drivers gear in the Dupont colors. Also, Red Bull car is silver now.

I think I saw AJ Allmendinger's Best Buy Fusion in the photo as well.

I was pointing what is probably less obvious to those that don't follow NASCAR and therefore can't see whats different. I'm pretty sure the paint schemes by far will be the first things to notice.

Thank you finally someone said it cause I want to drive that #2 Charger of Brad's.

Pretty sure I want it more.

But wouldn't they have to change the rating of the game due to the alcohol sponsor?

Also it'd be cool if the update gave the cars the new front end.

True, but you never know. Sometimes the most obvious is the most overlooked, lol.

Didnt see NASCAR coming, what ever came about that magazine article where kaz wanted FIA and DTM cars but ran out of time?

Have you not been paying attention to the thread, lol. 2 or 3 posts above yours, yes, they will have the new front ends. Also, pretty sure no Dodges will be added. As far as beer sponsers, they would just edit the logo to say BRAD or something like other Nascar games have done in the past.

Yeah, I'm not talking about the Nationwide cars that debuted last year. Have you not been paying attention to Nascar? The Sprint cup cars lost the splitter they had from 2007-2010.

I like how these (mostly european) people completely fail to realize that PD getting a piece of the Nascar license was and still is a huge selling point for GT5.

Honestly, your mentality is pretty much this:

Which is quite frankly, stupid.

Yes, I have been paying attention. You were asking if the update was going to give the cars the new nose they have now and the answer is yes, as the post above yours clearly states. Nationwide cars are irrelivent here as they are not in the game right now and no plans to add them. I was never talking about Nationwide cars.

Thanks Racecar. Was hoping for new drivers.

Well they've only shown about eight of them so it could be one of the other three that aren't being shown.

Yeah that was a misunderstanding. Three posts above mine was a link to a picture of the Mustang NNS car, so that's what I though you were talking about.

The 39 or 5 car would be cool, and so would the 9.

No problem. At least we got your question answered. Thats all that counts. Peace bro.

And yes in road courses they are great to watch, they are monsters an difficult to drive, just mechanical grip and little aero so races are very close.

So new 2011 Nascar cars are always welcomed. Better than nothing.

Thank you. I'm thankful we're getting even MORE stuff for free.

Add some more tracks and the NASCARs will come alive better. Fix the draft issue.

As for those "left-turn" mantras. Try dealing with a constant oversteering car and just turn left. Yes the ovals are all left-turns, but to catch a loose race car you have to saw that wheel.

As for the "easy" to drive thoughts... If an F1 car lost power steering or anything with steering, they'd shut it off. I'm sure some of you have driven without power steering, it's tough. Try doing that with a couple G's pressing against you at 125+ mph.

Yes, I would have rather had some 2011 or 2012 new premiums, but I'll love what I get, including the DLC when it comes down the pike.

Adding new Nascars is cut and paste job mostly. So anyone not interested in them can sleep well because not much development time has been used for this.

What puzzles me is why 11. You can have 16 car races so why not 16 cars?

Its great to get something free, but only two nascar tracks is just sad. Where's Talladega, Bristol, Searspoint..?!

Oh and fix the draft LOL. Only because everyone says it doesnt make it right! Draft is just fine, should be a bit stronger if anything!

Go watch a race or go for a drive on the Autobahn. Its a very strong and important effect in reality...

Butt no... It must be fixed........

Sad.

I'm guessing that they'll be the same drivers as we already have Edwards, Busch and Montoya, and I guess the liveries will be the most used so the same as 2010s
