That's a really nice lap dude i also improved my time with the RX-7 i still need to work on the diff and brake balance settings I will add you to PSN. Really glad more peeps sign up. :) I will update the OP as more sign up. Thanx for the support Sonic :). An image will be enough m8

Only Oil change m8. The NISMO is the lightest and the quickest out of corners. I did a test by putting more BHP on it but it will just destroy the other 2 cars. With the right settings and only Oil change i can see it do 01.21 low easy . I just sent you a friend request on PSN

I am checking out more tracks right now. this will be a 5 week tournament and i just got all 5 tracks down. SS5, Nurburgring GP/F, Grand Valley Speedway, Cote D'azur (monaco) and the Indianapolis motor Speedway Road course. So make sure you practice alot on these tracks. I will update the OP in a few mins with track info.

With the 380, just did a 1.22.418. Car is very sound, gearing is spot on, I think a better time lies is more downforce and revision of lines...

That practice session was just a freakin blast Tyrrell. Cars were really close but i noticed the 380 has a better top-speed than the RX-7 but corners were pretty even lol. I will try to post a vid of the race later.

Interesting considering I maxxed out the downforce, but I geared it so in 6th it just runs into the red at the end of the pit straight.

Wondering if there might be a few tenths in dropping the ride height...

Oh well atleast i tried to come up with something. The cars are not BHP monsters and are pretty good to have close races with. Plenty of other tournes here but most are with low BHP cars wich are not really my cup of tea. Getting a bit fustrated not being able to find proper lobbys online.

I can give you the answer why so few people are signign up: You guys are too fast. I myself am just able to achive a 1.27. I have absolutely no idea how one can make a 1.22 here...

Hmm. What car did you choose? and did you build it as stated in the OP? also make sure you fine tune suspension and such. It's really not that hard to do a 22 m8.

watch my youtube vid and see where you don't have to brake cause i think your doing too much breaking in the first section of the track and corner exit on the last turn is VERY important.
 
Just had a few practice runs with wajdi1977 but lobby got invaded by freakin noobs. Will host a private session tomorrow dude. Nice driving m8

Thanx m8 you're pretty good yourself and i hope you like the choice of tracks we are going to run in the tournament but you guys should also let me know if you would prefer other tracks. BTW i can't take my eyes off your avatar damn it's killing me lol

Didn't have as much time today do get some laps in in my new Amemiya RX-7 as i'd have liked but managed a 1.23.094 from 7 laps on Race Softs round SS5.

I've made all the recommended mods but as the car's only done 28miles from new i didn't want to change the oil just yet so am running 370hp until it's run in.

Tweaked the set up a bit and also tried yours though i tend to trail brake and found your brake bias a little rear biased for my style though your set up had a sharper turn in for sure. Also think my gear ratio was a little long at 163mph.

I think i can get into/beyond the 22's with a bit of practice/setup/oil change.

How do i confirm my time/s with you?

Look forward to the event+may have a team mate if there's room!! :)
 
i see the thread is filling up:)👍 m8 what if we include suzuka in. have atleast one japanese truck because cars are japanese. what do u think?

You can take picture of it m8 but i assume everybody is legit cause there's really no point lying about it lol. I was going to keep the room at 8 players to avoid lag but i will make it 10 so of course you can bring a teammate.

I didn't look at Suzuka first cause that track is ran in almost every tourney lol but i guess it can do no harm to run the tournament with 7 tracks, so we can add 2 more. On a side note it's weird nobody is going for the S2000 lol

Just did a 01.21.546 on SP practice.It seems that whateve i do i can't get in the 21's online, best time so far online is a 01.22.4xx.

I think with a cleaner line through turn 2 you can do it quicker, as well as achieve a wider, faster entry into turn 3. Same for the hairpin, come from wider and turn in gently, early, tightening around the hairpin. Same again through the final turn, you should only have to lift off a fraction of a second, if at all. All around, I think you could be using just a little more of the track, only a couple of feet closer to the barriers.
 
Thanx for the tips m8. That lap could've been faster indeed, i am converting our race replay in HD right now and will upload that later to youtube m8. That race was freakin awesome. BTW guys the tournament will start in 2011 i think the first weekend of january please post times most of you think you're free on a sunday.

Here is the vid, it's still being prept for image quality though.

DJWNakata pointed me in the direction of this championship. Looks fantastic. I'd like to register my interest, although I wont be able to do the qualifying lap until the 26th or 27th. Either day i'll be slightly hungover, so hope I can get within the recommended time!

I'd like to race as an individual (rather than as a team mate) please. Hope that's OK?

Hay dude nice to know you're intersted and its possible for you to enter without a teammate. Post your time whenever you get to it there's no rush we wont start untill everybody is ok with the tracks we got 5 now and need 2 more. I am really looking forward to this. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.
 
How about le Sarthe and Fuji?also I think that we should use the medium tyres because the soft tyres have to much grip,it's unrealistic to me!

You have a good point there m8. It's not easy to get the best time with these cars but we could make the driving a bit harder. I hope to cya later online so we can gite a try. I totally forgot about Fuji lol that track is a must.

Personally, I'd be in favour of hard and medium tyres only, and longer races (as in an hour long, maybe longer). That way you test the player's concentration more, and introduce an element of strategy.
 
Tonight I did some online races with my friend driving the Nismo!my best lap is 1'44.4xxx(C2).Driving this car on Fuji is very exciting so I advice to add it to the list!
Ps:@Aizen93,can I open,Tomorrow,a public room at 20:00 GMT?(for some practice session)

That's totally cool m8. Let me know when the lobby is open, i also has a few runs with Tyrrell yesterday and we ran on Hard racing tyres wich made driving alot more challenging.
