GT5 AMEMIYA vs AEM vs NISMO Start Date 7 jan 08.00PM GMT+1

Purchased the Amemiya RX7 and did the recommended mods and no more. Tried the suggested set-up and struggled with a 1.28.682, so reverted to standard set-up and posted a 1.25.759.

With a bit of playing around, the lap times are now down to 1.23.423 but its not a clean lap and could easily gain about a second if I can pull it all together!!!

Also havent been able to do the oil change yet, so i'm about 20hp short.

Photo of times below (hope it shows!)

Hi all,

Put in another 15 laps or so on SS5 in the RX-7 with a bit of set-up tweaking. Have got my time down to 1.22.269. Up to full power now after oil change:)

PS I'd agree with a change to Race Medium and Race Hard tyres only as softs do feel a bit like overkill on these cars.

Looking forward to the start and maybe meeting up for some practice online...

This is looking really good guys. I won't be able to be online tonight but i should be here tomorrow night for some practice. Borisdollar pls add me to PSN. That is a really good time btw djwnakata.

Me and tyrrell tried the Hard tyres 2 days ago and racing is more challenging with those tyres. So it confirmed we will be using Hard/Medium race tyres for the tournamen

We will kick off one week after the New Year m8 just give overbody time to settle up. I would love to start the 2nd but we all know how that will end up lol. BTW guys i just made a new PSN account, ive already sent all of a friend request. ID is GTP_Aizen93_93

Well guy's,I made some run last night with the Nismo(medium tyres)and mu best lap was 1'22.8xxxx!tomorrow I will be there with you!

Nice to see ya sign up too Skyline, just add me to PSN. I will host a practice session on 2nd of january at 08.00PM GMT +1. Hope to see all of you show up D-day. Make sure your ride are ready to roll, practice will be held on Fuji Speedway 10 laps. BTW guys is the S2000 so bad lol :)

I could come with a S2000 if the tyre restriction was sorted out. It says racing hard/soft in first post. But these cars are way too slow to use racing softs. Racing hards would also be a bit too much, but it prevent a lot of wheelspin thus making it a cleaner race.

Hope you will answer me :)

Sry I havent updated the first post but we will be running hard/medium tyres during races it doesnt matter if you set the qualifying on softs. You can do it on whatever tyres you want. SIGN UP IS CLOSED PEOPLE ROOSTER IS FULL I am on a Samsung Galaxy will updated OP when I get home

I must admit: The AEM S2000 is the worst of these three cars. Just wanted to try them all and I am doing much better with the others :) But what the heck.

Got 1.23.171 with AEM S2000
(1.22.341 NISMO 380RS Super Leggera)
(1.22.something with Amemiya RX-7)

If I got in... hope so.

Bombe dont worry you're in. I will post the room num here and you will get a message on PSN about it too, dunno exactlly what the time is for eastern I will look it up later and post it here.

Thanks Aizen. I certainly enjoyed it, although a little slower than you guys!!! Would be interested to see your set-up around grand valley. Was happy with my Nurb F1 settings though.

So what's the next step for this race series? Anymore qualifying / practice rounds? Also, are we going to allow a few more people in, based on the fact that not all will show up on each race day anyway?

Thanks.
