Yep. Sounds like good news to me. I expect something official at TGS but this works for now. I think I know what I am getting this Christmas... :D
 
So we have to guess which of the final three months of the year GT5 gets released in eh? I take comfort in the fact that the release date is in this year. My winter break is going to be very awesome.
 
Octrober 20th to 31th. I'm ready to bet on anything. GT5 will interrupt forza3 haha.

I am sorry but that would be so funny. It like all this marketing and then BOOM, GT5! It does not matter to me I am getting both.

BTW Jordan is that source still active? I thought he/she? was going to publish an article soon. I mean as it is now it seems like the cat is out of the bag. I know this "confirms" nothing but it is a pretty solid indication.

With all the Gamescom stuff we picked up I'm actually surprised we didn't find out about this sooner. I mean, it was on the brochure for crying out loud! :dunce:

Just want to remind everyone that it may be Q4 on the Japanese business year which would be January-March 2010.
 
Seems to all point to 2009 with what Kaz has said as well.

Just that Sony's 2009 Q4 ends in March 31st 2010 (starting at December 31st) and Sony uses this a lot.
 
Well according to the front page here, the release says "4th Quarter of 2009", which would make it this October, November, or December.

I have faith...
 
It doesn't say what Q4 though, there are 2(Calender and Business).
 
So it's either going to be (in my opinion) december 1st or sometime early/mid march 2010.

In fact, let me restate that. I think at this point they're saying that the release date is planned for before christmas (also note jordan's pic on the "You Will Like Gran Turismo 5's Release Date" post) and the fallback date is march. sounds reasonable to me. That way they wouldn't be breaking any promises if development fell behind.

I have not seen anyone use business years on a release date announcement... I think we are safe for xmas...
 
Indeed, this is a public release time frame not some shareholders/business meeting notes.
 
People "in the know" have been saying for some time before Christmas.

I'll say a Thanksgiving release. Take advantage of Black Friday.
 
i say they are gonna do it the week of the original ps3 release.. 14th or 15th of november

Like some others have said, there's no way a company would use 4th quarter the financial year on a public promotional flyer.

4th Q of 2009 it is :D

Why did it take till the end of gamescom for that brochure to surface to this website?
Can anyone that went to Games Com Confirm this Brochure?

But anyway hopefully its true.... My guess is November 18... Random date but I think the month is Correct
