Guess I'll need to cancel my GameStop preorder since I'll be out of town then. It would be nice if this were true since I would have a relaxing weekend to play it.
 
I think 27th is only for Europe. If it does release on Saturday here in US I'll have to find alternative to Amazon, I doubt UPS will deliver on Saturday.

My copies on order with Amazon as well, with guaranteed release date delivery. If it's a Saturday release....I have to wonder what Amazon is going to do? (Other than say...Opps, sorry).

They would have to send it FedEx. They deliver on Saturday. I am an Amazon junkie and whenever I use my Amazon Prime 2 day shipping option on a late Wednesday/early Thursday order, they will use FedEx instead of UPS.
 
USPS delivers on Saturday, with no extra charge. UPS/FedEx charge a bunch of money to deliver on Saturday. It's a special service, and it isn't cheap.

Amazon uses USPS sometimes, so they'll probably do that.

Just asked the EB staff at Down Town, Auckland. They say the release date of GT5 is either the last week of November or the 30th of November.
 
What's up with the huge pictures some of you guys put up? They're not funny, cute, or anything. Just you being stupid.

But yeah, anyone just tuning in, still no OFFICIAL WORD on a release date.
 
After the release of the game has been delayed, now the announcement of the new release date is being delayed ...

that's the official status until further notice...
 
^It shouldn't be long till we get a official release date.I mean all those leaked vids will just put more pressure on Sony.
 
Actually, I just went to IGN UK....says release date TBA.

VGReleases (no idea how accurate they are) state the 27th is "RUMORED". It goes on to say they are trying to get it out for Black Friday. (Really?....by releasing the day AFTER).

I'm going to call BS on the date and wait for Sony to give us another one.

There is no official release date beyond "Holiday". We are officially still in limbo. One person posting videos of the game on the web doesn't mean much to me.

I've never in my life downloaded an illegal copy of a game, but I would download GT5 because of this.

Oh well, they deserve it for sticking it to us. Eat it now, Sony/PD.

It's probably also just a matter of time before a hacker gets a hold of the disc and figures out a way to crack 3.50 ... Then what Sony? Will it have been worth being all anally-retentive at that point? LOL.

I think that it is quite sad that people are cheering (yay we stuck it to PD/Sony) and yet don't have a copy themselves to cheer about. You are acting like these people are 🤬 Robin Hood. They are just common thieves, I've never seen any group of people so happy about a theft... ever. I like that I got some news but not about the way it was obtained.

First off did I mention you.... calm yourself. Happy they got stuck it to for what reason? They didn't give all of their secretes up? They didn't release a release date? or the Fact it took a long time to produce?

LOL ... I was just coming on to apologize for my post. Been having a crappy day and of course it's not your fault so I'm sorry for sounding like such a douche.

Anyways, they've been stringing us along without a release date now. They KNOW we're waiting for one, besides, of course, the game. They've been trying to create an aura of greatness and secrecy on some bits of that game, and now it's getting slowly chiseled away by the leaks. That, for me, is good retribution to them for not giving us the slightest clue when the game's coming out.

Regardless, it's OK for people to get riled up. It probably doesn't do anything in the end, but at least it allows the vents to clear and then people move on. So at this point, even though the leak was illegal, it's giving something for people to cheer about. Let them be, no?
 
I'm on a high horse because I do not agree with everybodies happiness about theft? Please. I speak my mind, as I said I am happy to see the latest news just not the way we learned of it. I can see why everybody is happy with new's, I cannot see why alot of us "GT5 fan's" think it's great that PD/Sony have gotten a kick in the gut by a thief.

IamGT5 I know where your coming from, I almost cried at the delay news lol. I am happy to see anything, I just don't like that it was glorified. I don't know I usually just sit and wait, this is the first forum I've joined ever.
