Yeah it's very annoying, I agree... My statement is based on what everyone here knows and a little bit extra info from inside sources which at the moment I'm not at liberty to say who or what. Thats why I have to remain a bit cryptic in my statements. Speculated release date for me based on the info I know, would be 30th of November. With the old release date the European Launch Party was scheduled about a week before release, so I am assuming here that Sony follow the same route. Also the fact that there are discs in the wild is a good indicator that it should be close.

To come to conclusion my statement is made up of half speculation and half fact ;) I was primarily trying to relieve some stress in here though... I can imagine a lot of people have patches of grey all over by now... :P

Its not really... it says on or about ... so its just a estimate.

So its another damn month to wait.

See ... it will be November 30th! :)

just a week after the launch party in France and the last day of November

So they did announce it ....

even the gran-turismo.com site says november now

^^^ When did they announce it??? I'm speculating here... Don't take it as the truth as of yet!

This thread page 125 by Earshot .... SonyStyle site... (oct-29th)👍

Just think about it ... this week COD-BO ... next week NFS-HP ... then launch-event in france ... so 30th november
.. the latest possible releasedate for GT5 in November ...

I really don't see any reason why it shouldn't be released on the 23rd. We've all seen the vids, it's DONE.

But I guess they have to do the marketing thing to persuade people who were already gonna buy it anyway.

the launch party in France was originally planned in the week before november 2nd .... so there is your reason ...

Logically, that makes the most sense. But I'm thinking November 30th is going to be the date. Although I really hope you're right and I'm wrong.

How does the 23rd make the most sense when it's already the 9th? A game that masses this amount of sales wouldn't just be casually released. The need to give the retail stores notice so that they can update the their release dates, Sony needs to advertise and other stuff. Not everyone surfs the net for video game news. A 2week surprise release will have a lot of people (like parents and others) in the dark.

While a lot of people would be "in the dark", they would be pleasantly surprised when they see GT5 in the store on black Friday. And honestly, with it being as close as it is at either rate, people that don't particularly care about this kind of stuff won't know either way.

While I do think that the 30th is going to be the new date, I don't think that the 23rd would make much of a difference.

The most 'logical' date(s) are either the 23rd or the 30th...mainly because their both Tuesdays. But if amar212 says 24th, then I believe him.

GT3 came out on July 10, 2001 ~ a Tuesday
GT4 came out on February 22nd, 2005 ~ also a Tuesday

hi

i have ordered the CE on Amazon.de

and the reseller write me in the E-Mail,

"expected we received the Game on 24-25.11.2010."

sry for bad english but i think you know what i mean

Screw this game...its never going to come out.

you have been a member for 2 months and your first post is this worthless tidbit?

I would like to believe hints (including from amar who I trust) of the game releasing near the end of this month but logic dictates that there needs to be time between announcement and actual release for reasons already stated. Since he can't post more it would be stupid to make wild assumptions based on such a small piece of info.

It seems obvious at this point that we are all just waiting for enough discs to be produced to satisfy initial demand and frankly no one except Sony/PD know how long that will take (hell maybe even they aren't sure).

Can we really expect a November release when there's been no advertising yet?

Black Friday.

Advertising is important, but when it comes to hitting the biggest shopping day of the year on a game that has had plenty of publicity for years now (a lot lately with news of it's delay) I think a company would be stupid to not give Black Friday more weight.

Flood the TV and papers with ads the week before if you want, but don't miss Black Friday.

I agree with the importance of black Friday however there may simply not be enough copies of the game available by then to release it. Most people agree at this point that it was a production issue that caused the delay.
