Spotted these at Game yesterday.

Then I read the backs and spotted a funny fail.

Aha, they've mixed up the descriptions

I've never seen cards like that for sale here, we only get the generic vouchers...

Looks like they rushed these out and had a little oopsy with the printers.

someone is going to get annoyed with that

but who the heck buys DLC in a shop??

Someone who doesn't have a credit/debit card. It would also make a nice Christmas or birthday gift.

This could be a use for reasons VTi posted or for people who can't afford a $20/50 PSN card or only targeting just GT5's DLC.

Still, that would be quite helpful for us who live in regions not available on PSN. Credit card error 80023102...

+1

Who would seriously buy this? :dunce:

I would buy it. here in germany its very uncommon to have a creditcard. And PSN cards are overpriced too, I've seen prices up to 25 euros for a card with only 20€ value. thats bogus.

I would appreciate the total ban of the "epic fail" phrase, as well as ban of the word "fail" in the tread titles.

It was not so long time ago when theads were having normal and descriptive titles which would correspond with actual content in informative and unbiased way.

Is it so hard to do it dear GTP?

This thread would be much more interesting with title "GT5 DLC on retail-voucher cards", which is the most interesting thing in the post. Error regarding wrong print could be attributed as a funny tidbit inside the news, but nothing more.

This sensationalistic approach is really getting annoying, especially because the value of the real information becomes irrelevant once the "epic fail" comes into spotlight.

Thank you GTPlanet.

I think that what Amar is talking about is WAY bigger than the small episode described in this thread.

This kind of stuff sometimes get enormous, Everything bad that happens is instantly described as: "EPIC FAIL". And that's hits the ones that are on GTP after useful information. If everything is "EPIC FAIL" then we're going to have trouble finding what isn't. Got it?

It's a bad mistake, I agree... someone at the printer company will have some serious problems.

And there's dozens of funny threads on GTP. (See Jenkins, the cat thread for example).

I think you maybe missed my point Tribolic, but nevermind.

And I didn't quite catch the "so called independent reviewer" part, care to explain? Thank you in advance.

Huh, never seen those either. Funny printing error, yes. "Epic" fail, no.

It's also not PD's fault. Unless Kaz has been putting those hands to use again.

I vote for amar having ultimate dictatorial moderator powers in GTP to do whatever he sees fit.

Nevermind Amat222... I problably mistaken your news reports about GT5 that I always tryed to read to find out in first hand before buying/trying with reviews...

I really cant see whats the problem with this thread... its a good giggle... You can appreciate the Ban of a simple imature frase as much as you like but the AUP doesnt predict censorship... when that happens I know a lot of us will be happy to find greener pastures...

I guessing some of you people have never seen a true epic fail before if you think this is one. This is a minor inconvenience.

I support this message. Very well put, Amar.

I would buy DLC from shops! I have no credit card and it is really annoying to buy DLC for me! I have an Wirecard Prepaid account. If I want to load up money on the account, I´ve got to sent the money from my banc account and it takes up to 1 week.

Actually I want to buy the "back to karkand" DLC for Battlefield 3 and I´ve sent money to my wirecard account on thursday. It´s tuesday now and I´m still waiting that the money is available on my wirecard account.

This. The products you see there, although their descriptions are flawed quite badly, are for people who don't have a credit/debit card and don't wish to buy PSN cards because you get less money on PSN then the card's actually worth.

Looks like they rushed these out and had a little oopsy with the printers.

This too. You can't physically gift wrap something that's virtual, right? Nor can you put it under a Christmas tree. Lol 👍 .

Yeah, non descriptive thread titles should be against AUP, they are in a lot of forums. Banning words like ''epic'' and ''fail''? As bad as Hitler? No, but very bad idea. People who like sensorship only like their own KIND of sensorship.

How's the air up there on your high horse? Must be pretty thin eh.

Although I do agree with you that "epic fail" is a little overused, it is simply a pop culture catch phrase. Getting bent out of shape over people using it is like getting upset that people say "cool" to describe the status of something as opposed to temperature. If that's the kind of thing you lose sleep over, then you have a serious case of first world problems lol.

It's not too much to ask that threads have reasonably descriptive titles, especially in our busiest and most frequented subforum. It's better for everyone, and it ultimately saves time. Thanks for the suggestion, Amar :)👍
