GT5 getting boring?

Just out of curiosity, I'm finding GT a little boring every time I play it. Don't get me wrong it's a ****en epic game.. but curcuit racing over and over is like too.. confined.. Anyone else getting this a little too?

I'd LOVE to just roam the streets like a normal person in a sort of GTA/NFS way.. without the stupidity and 'arcadeness' of those games (just using these as example.. I think NFS underground was like that too?).. Just have a 'track' or two with a few streets.. houses.. normal cars around going about with their own lives etc etc.. Simulator meets normalness if possible?

Any tips on what else is fun to do in GT5 besides throwing my X2011 of a hill? :yuck:
 
Join a traffic room once in a while, they'll give you the cop chases that you're looking for.
 
You're right, but hey isn't that what seasonals are for?
 
Yeah, it's good.. challenge people with a worse car than theirs but it's like the same thing over and over.. oh well.. I guess thats why there's other games..I'd like to see the standing-starts return too.. shame they removed that..

Seasonals are always the same. They put you in the back of the field with X amount of laps to pass everyone and win.

Well we should ask Kaz to lower the laps then?
 
I'm getting slightly bored as well. Now I do 2 days GT5, 2 days F1 2010, doing that keeps my interest in both of them.
 
If you got bored then you are doing the same thing every day .

join crowded room , drag race with some one , try to drift , try new cars or rubbish cars make them awesome , nascar races online ( i found a room is doing 66 laps daytona ) .

you got alot of things to do but you need to find it by your self , for me my g27 is killing all the boring stuff what ever i do its fun because its makes it real .
 
Yeah, I do all that but doesn't anyone think it would be aiight to just cruise a Integra or Skyline around a neighborhood or something..? But not everyone has money for a steering wheel.. They worth getting? Looks OK, do they come with MT gizmo parts? .. Too old to know much about these toys

It's just my opinion. There are probably a lot of people who love the seasonals.
 
As long as i can go online , i always find stuff to do...

a free roam is city is always fun , about the steering wheel it is alot of money .
 
Got a G25 and racing cockpit. GT5 is still boring. Needs MUCH more A-Spec.
 
While i wasn't getting bored of GT5, i decided anyway to start playing another game. So have been playing only Fallout 3 for prolly the last month or two and only just came back to GT after the latest update - and it seems better than ever!

Haven't touched Forza 4 since i finished World Tour mode a week or two after the game came out. :O

Try take a break from the game for a month or so and then come back to it when you can't resit the urge to anymore. ;)

This works a treat, especially if a major update comes out the same time you feel like coming back. :D

I went from not playing GT5 for a few weeks to playing it non-stop again, thanks to patch 2.02 and the GT86. :D
 
I agree with the OP. I am finding GT5 boring. It's a great game though. But I would love to have GT5's physics, graphics engine to be used in an open world type game where I can cruise around with friends or take them for a ride. Like in Test Drive Unlimited. I love the idea those guys have but it's just simply lacking because the driving physics is horrible. Now if PD can make an open world, sandbox free roam type of driving simulation game like that, I would be extremely happy. Circuit racing alone in a big circle over numerous laps gets very repetitive after awhile.

I'm doing exactly this with Final Fantasy XIII.
 
Tends to happen when you play a game almost everyday for a year.
Id just recomend playing different games or taking break.
I dont think il be entirely bored until I drive all the cars ... I havent even driven all the Premiums nor the dlc cars.
 
Play a different game. Simple.
 
I do kind of agree with you that after some time JUST circuit racing over, and over again, does seem to get a bit tedious, but I normally will just take a break from the game, play something else, and come back after a bit, I still hope that Special Stage city is a dream that can one day be fulfilled.
 
A boredum thread, just days after a new update and DLC.. really?
 
The track selection is getting a little stale but it is still far from boring :)
 
I never got bored of driving cars that I rarely driven or never driven before around the Nurburgring

Actually that's what I was thinking too, I think they shouldn't focus much on cars for the next DLC, but rather just add some more tracks, I think that would cause the repetitiveness to go down.
 
Try Simulatore games 4 pc!I have Race 07 and GTR2 so when I'M SICK of GT5 I play them,specially Race 07 is a great game with a Great FB!

Not everyone has a decent PC they can connect their wheel too...

The pretty part is "most" of the PC sims dont take much power. GTR is a good example, even a 6 year old PC can run it.

Besides that, there are plenty of race games on consoles as well. Ferrari Challenge, Shift, F1 2011, Forza, Race Pro, etc. etc.
