The interiors of standard cars are disappointing to me. Not that they're blacked out, I don't mind that, I always use it in GTPSP. The problem I have is that they are, in fact, LESS than on the PSP game, in that IN NO WAY from the inside of a standard car (Blacked out) where you can see any part of the OUTSIDE of the car. This is very very striking in cars with large spoilers, as they do not ever appear. It's almost as if, while inside, the entire car is invisible.

Another thing I have seen is the fading of shadows cast by cars in replay modes. It is less a gradual fade and more like four/five distinct steps from darkness into light. It used to be FAR worse, I think, and is more visible on Daytona than anywhere else I think. If you can't see it on GT5, it was most definitely on prologue.

One, MAJOR thing I think needs urgent attention is the Jaguar XJ220. Last time I drove it, which is since the last update, a part of my bright yellow helmet was poking out of the top of it's dark blue roof.

All i can say , GT5 was great, maxed out the PS3 but it had its flaws.

Bring on the Playstation4 powerhouse.

Trouble is , after a while PS4 will be maxed out , and will we want MORE power?

Yes, the cycle never ends. With diminishing returns at every iteration. The hunger will continue to grow unsated. Then comes the desperation... (or something, I dunno)

So, any sign of these 1.00 vs 2.05 standard cars comparisons? I've seen plenty of people saying they've got better but seen no proof.

I've definitely seen a pic of a Kei car (a Daihatsu Move?), that must have had an LoD bug or something, that was fixed. There're other such examples, and others still that haven't been fixed yet.

The rendering of the models has improved, but that applies to Premiums as well.

But of course, you're looking for improvements to meshes and to textures and the like. Which just isn't going to happen. Then again, the texture filtering has been tweaked for the Standards so that panel gaps / shut lines and the like are a bit easier on the eye, so maybe that counts.

But, yeah, I'd like to see these comparisons too.

the premiums improved?great and I wil take some photos from internet from 1.00 and try to recreate it today, just wait or it will be tomorrow

No its not you.I will take photos and post here, they are definetly better there's cars with nice graphics and no jaggies:tup:

A lot of the time i'm racing now, I have no idea weather I passed a standard or Premium. You really have to look for it now, you really do! The lights are the only really clear giveaway now! I know it was ported from the PSP but If PD were to put just a cockpit in the Veyron, and leave everything else as is, I would be none the wiser and I usually look out for that stuff!

I remember looking at a Youtube comparison video of Forza 3 v GT5 and the silly video up-loader user used a Veyron for a side by side graphical analysis! (dunno maybe he was bias?) and I taught they looked about the same quality I really did. Oh and BTW both games look fantastic!

I notice that tracks with weather/time change usually have better lighting than ones without it. And +1 with the post above, including the headlights

that's the beauty of dynamic lighting as opposed to static lighting...

Thats because the AI is so slow that when you passed them you dont even get time to check their ride...:dopey:

Did he use a Veyron Super Sport in Forza? if he did he was bias if he didnt maybe he just used the car he thinks is more iconic.

Shadows are way to dark in cockpit view, to the point of not being able to even read the gauges (whats the point of having superb details if you can't even see them). I also want night racing a bit lighter so I can see what kind of car I'm driving, not just my tail lights. The far away track environments could be improved. My only gripes. Car models/lighting is great.

It's pretty impressive what GT5 can currently do with only 256mb of RAM. Now it just needs something more powerful to run it on, hopefully by GT6.

By then, the shadows will likely be much better, all cars will hopefully be premium. I'd also expect tearing, and framerate stuttering to be gone by then.

Exactly! My phone has more RAM than PS3.

No way could they improve on the decisions they made, even the dodgy way it reads/stores files must be there for a reason and lets face it, PD know the game workings far better than any of us!

As for the night racing.. dude what do you think, cars glow at night? ever see a car on a pitch black road? All you see are the lights. Man people need to get in touch with reality.. 👎

Wow, get off your rag. I'm talking about a game, it would be nice to actually see your car somewhat, its stupid in MY OPINION to only see your tail lights and everything is pitch black like you are in outer space. It may be realistic but it makes driving in third person pointless because you can't even see the car when the camera is only 3 feet behind it. Reality doesn't always equal fun. And BTW I've been to an ALMS 12hr race so I've seen it in person at night.

As far as reality, my headlights don't only shine on certain things and not others, like in the game. On the nurb at night the headlights skip over areas right in front of you so its impossible to see the road directly ahead, its pitch black, yet you see illumination of objects 100 yards away. I couldn't even do the Lamborghini challenge on Toscana night because the headlights were non existent.

Everyone has opinions, maybe you should get in touch with that.
