GT5 Keeps Freezing

Hey people!

I have been suffering some game freezes on GT5 and its starting to really annoy me. My game froze at least 10 times in 1 hour.

Is there anyway of reducing the amount of game freezes??

Yeah i get the same. Sometimes when i leave a room or try to get into one. Or when im loading my garage. Very buggy.

Clear cache. Clean disc. Clean blu-ray lens inside of PS3. Been there, had the same problems, 99% of the time, one, or all of them things, will fix your problem. Also, if you smoke around your system at all, then your lens and disc need cleaning regularly.

1. Reset your modem, and make sure you're hardwired to it. No wireless, no routers.
2. Sync your trophies and adjust your time via internet.
3. Disable custom music.
4. Clear system cache.

Failing that, it's likely ISP related. Contact your provider.

Good advice but I am using a wreless router and have never had a problem due to that so you can't necessarily say, no wireless no routers. I know plenty of people using wireless with never a problem. Just depends on how you set it up.

Quite a pointless thread in fairness as this is a very common problem in GT5 as of late.

Sounds like you have eliminated half of the above posted possibilities then. Maybe try what MCLAREN suggested if you think its an internet problem.

Some can't be helped.

... as this is a very common problem in GT5 as of late.

I haven't experienced this since before 2.03, and I race online nightly.

The latest PSN update sets your time automatically when you sign in now. The option can be disabled manually though. http://us.playstation.com/support/systemupdates/ps3/ps3-4-10-update/index.htm
