Can't be because

1. It says GT5 above the T.V (It says something like "GT5 Car Index powered by Playview")
2. There are cars in there that are not in GTPSP.

I know the name says GT5, and it is a GT5 list, but I didn't see any cars that are not in GTPSP

How do you mean? There doesn't have to be more on the PlayView list... That block of 31 x 29 cars could well be a mix of both standard + premium.

Unless someone is bothered enough to look in depth (not me personally - sorry folks), we don't know how these cars have been ordered / listed. Personally I don't care because I play in bumper cam view anyway. We've been told 800+ standard & 200+ premium = 1000+ cars which is good enough for me. 👍

They seem to be ordered by manufacturer, vertically.

Not to be rude, but this seems kind of pointless. We don't need to reiterate any car that was in GT4 or GTPSP because we already know that they are in the game. Maybe you could just list cars that are new to the series. Thank you for your efforts.

Maybe it would be better to just list premium cars instead?

Anyone here had a midnight release at a GameStop anywhere in the states? I really don't want to wait until opening time (10:00 AM) to get my CE. That's 10 hours I could be playing!

Gamestop usually makes their decision about whether or not they'll do a midnight launch a week or so before a games release. At one time they'd put a list of locations that would be doing midnight launches. I'm not sure if they do that anymore though.

I saw someone posting that the Pagani Zonda R was there, but now I'm thinking he may or may not mistaken it for a Zonda LM '01.

Even that, the car list seems to be close to 900 according to the grid, and GTPSP I believe had somewhere over 850, so there must be some cars in there that weren't in GTPSP.

People bring this up a lot and they're the people that don't understand what Gran Turismo is all about.

It's about the beauty of selection and variety.

I know what GT is all about...i wouldn't be on here if i didn't, and i understand that people want to drive their real life cars...no problem with that. What i stated was just my opinion.

For comparison's sake. Sabine Schmitz in GT3RS on the 'ring!
p.s. Really hairy moment @ 8:30(I've already seen the Porsche in the barrier, then she masterfully saves it!👍)

You know you have a big responsibility once you get the game before release, right?

Answer all our questions.

I saw a Spyker C8, and it has tinted windows, so no exposed gear linkage or mad interior to look at. :(

Also, the Renault Maxi 5 Turbo Rally car doesn't have tinted windows from what I could see in that video, not sure if that indicates the car as Premium but still give us some hope.

People should stop fooling themselves and accept the fact that all 800+ standard cars are the ones from GT4/GTPSP.

The only new ones are the premiums.

These videos only confirm this. We have to accept that 80% of the cars will be 2005 and older. It will still be a great game, but we should know that we already saw 90% of GT5´s cars. (800 old ones + premiums).

All i want is daytona prototype cars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well some want to know all there is even before they get to discover it themselves while others clearly don't want to know too much.

I'd suggest a new thread with a *MAJOR SPOILER ALERT* In the title.

Anyone that goes in there with that stated can't complain.

I know mate, I agree with you. But as PD has remade some iconic cars, like the M5 and many japanese classics as Premium models, I was expecting some past GT exotics ( Like the Zonda or the C8 ) to be Premium models.

Nevertheless, PD still managed to get some impressive graphics if those videos represent the cars in the game, and not just 'shopped pics.

That's what I've been saying... And I'm not a complainer.

Let's hope PD has some surprises...

Actually, I'm hoping the C8 Allerion will be in the game. If there is a NEW Spyker, it'll probably be Premium. Here's hoping. I would LOVE to check out the Spyker's interior in GT5 detail. :P

Race mods were confirmed by Famitsu, the week TGS was on. It was an interview with Yamauchi.

After that we saw pics that led us to believe it was the race mods, but ever since the Famitsu article, we´ve taken that as a confirmation. They said Racing mods were absent since GT2 and were making a return on GT5.

It´s one of the best news we got from TGS actually.
