except there are a couple cars that don't make any since if that's true. Like the Citroen GT toy car.

Is there definitely a Citroen GT model in there? I didn't notice it. I can't find anyone selling one of those smaller than 1/18 on the web, albeit after only a pretty cursory search. Does this perhaps mean that models were actually commissioned for this advert?

About the Ferraris, I previously thought we were looking for two classic Ferraris, one vaguely resembling the 412S/250TR and one somewhat similar to the 166MM, but on closer inspection I think they might both be the same model. I've found images of the 166MM Spider Scaglietti which could just about fit both images shown, with a little squinting, but there doesn't seem to be a 1/43 model available of that either.

That's what I am thinking like that opel with the playboy bunny on the hood that would be a very hard car to find and I don't think the local toy shop would have that.

This seems more likely, and very familiar to those who've played GT4.

Seen the old Skylines and they were all blue, as seen in the both pics. This one is Silver. I'm thinking it's either a Maserati 3500 or a Merc, but it seems a little too long and thin to be a Merc.

Actually, what I thought was the GT was just an Audi R8.

Is there some inclination that these cars are actually included in GT5?

Or is this just how we're passing the time now? Either way, whats that white car below the very top yellow car? (shouden pic) I'm thinking Bentley ??? :boggled:

Sadly that one is available as a 1/43 model already from Provence Miniatures:

But you're right, it's not something the local toyshop would likely have lying around - I'd never even heard of Provence Miniatures - and suggests that, even if none have been commissioned especially, they've been bought deliberately.

However a better search of the web shows me there are 1/43 Citroen GTs too, but again they're not something that would be so easy to find.

For me it's just an interesting way to pass the time while I have nothing better to do than speculate on GT5. No reason to believe these cars will actually be included, but it's as good as any other source of car list speculation and infinitely more entertaining. They're forming a pretty strong wishlist for me right now, and for that reason alone I don't believe I'll actually see most of them in game.

I think you are referring to (what I think is) the Subaru at the top. Below that is in fact a Lexus SC430.

I think it's a Lexus SC430 but I'm not sure:guilty:

That is a "hakosuka Skyline GT-R done up in the paint scheme of the legendary Grand Champion series car that took the checkered flag at Fuji on October 10, 1971".

And absolutely gorgeous it is too!!!👍

I think this is the car 1958 Edsel Corsair Two Door.

uhh nevermind not it. Nose on the edsel is to pointed.

That is definitely not a Edsel

edit, to late

One thing that is making me start to believe we may see these cars in game is that there are cars missing that I might expect to see if these had been picked up randomly at a model shop, assuming a model shop diverse enough to have the '30s Renault, the '62 Prince Skyline, several spare MkII Escorts and all the modern cars.

I'm not talking about Porsches - we know that brand isn't in game and we can assume that the PD employee sent to buy cars had the intelligence not to buy marques that aren't licensed for GT. But there are others missing that seem to be common models - the Ferrari Testarossa/512TR, the Fiat 131 (in either rally or Grp5 form), the BMW 3.0CSL, the Ford Capri, the Lamborghini Miura and probably dozens of others. Maybe it's just coincidence that these are missing, maybe they're there and we've not spotted them yet (or I've missed the posts) but this is starting to feel like a very deliberate selection to me.

Damn. I'm building up my hopes in a way I really intended to avoid.

I think this is the car almost 100% 1958 Edsel Corsair Two Door.

I actually saw a later model Edsel yesterday coming the opposite way in traffic, it looked brand new ( in the Netherlands ).......was briefly confused and checked I wasn't driving a DeLorean.
Actually had a gray haired man sitting next to me, who was a close relative.
Weird moment.;)

Just passing the time.

I tend to weigh on the cautious side. The two cars at the bottom left would appear to be Porsche 911 GT3-RSR, but Porsche not in GT. :sly:

What the hell is a Fiat Topolino? You mean the Fiat 500? The Topolino is going to be (apparently) going to be remade as a separate car placed below the Fiat 500 in the mode line-up.

Subaru Impreza STi Sportback

Its a impreza R205 because the normal STI isn't sold in yellow. And the list is still missing the 370Z roadster and IS-C

They're BMW Z4M coupes in racing trim as used in whatever the JGTC is called now, I think there are some photos of the real thing about 10 pages back.

I don't believe we've seen any evidence of that in this video so far though - possibly they've misidentified that old Renault.

What about this Qore feature tomorrow, is anyone going to record it and post it for the news section?

Thats pretty funny  Yeah after I looked at the nose the Edsel is to pointy.. So you should be right with your first guess.

The two red and yellow cars in the middle are FB RX7's. And the black convertible on the right is a G37 convertible.

And the dark blue sedan in de middle is a C110 skyline 4dr.

What is the black convertible near the bottom left?

The yellow one looks like it has Rally lights on the hood. Did they rally that car?

What about the purple one with the mirrors on the fenders.

The Topolino ( or Italian for Mickey Mouse ) was the nickname of the first 500 build from the thirties, the one in GT5 ( the old one ) is called the Nuova 500, meaning new 500, not to be confused with the new ( or nuova in Italian ) 500.;)

I guess it's the Maserati GranTurismo Convertible, edit:GranCabrio :D

Mm, I know, I thought he meant to put the Fiat 500. I've heard the Topolino was the Fiat 500 sold under a different name.
And they are remaking the Topolino (apparently). It's rumoured it'll have an RR set-up, like the Fiat 500's of old. :)

And I knew about the Nuova thing, I'm doing Italian at school.. :P But thanks, and I know there was an old Topolino, just thought he was referring to the new one (reasons above).
