As seen in the picture above, the ad suggests that you can “take to the track in November.” Now this could just be an ad that was placed before the game was delayed, but if that’s the case then why is the exact date of release not in there?

Because the game releases on different dates in different countries...OPM is an international Magazine.

That's what I've been saying. Sony are to quite about this, because this is the end of October.

Don't be suprised if it gets a date somewhere in the middle of 2011.

I can't imagine this game getting released 2010 at all anymore. :guilty:

? there is another 9 days left in october yet !.
My feeling is the game was never going to be released on the 2-5th of Nov it was a marketing date, and the game was always going to be released close to christmas to help shift some more ps3 consoles.
I still think around the 26th Nov prime time for the christmas period. If not then sony will loose so much money on this game there will be no gt6.

 I think it's safe to say using a Ouija board is almost a reliable as retailers trying to 'set' a definitive release date themselves.
Are you sure it's a boat though? Not a blurry image of a Schwimmwagen?

Are we back to talking about VW and Porsche again? :)

Announcing a "marketing date" and delaying it 3 weeks before release would be a pretty stupid plan from Sony IMO
But I'm confident that we will see the game before December.

No, different countries get different versions of the OPM. Although saying that, I'm not 100% certain whether any of versions are shared between more than one country.

I really hope that is sarcasm. :odd:

That doesn't even make sense. Purposely create bad PR when they could have just announced the real date and avoided the trouble?

And Nov. 26th is the day after Thanksgiving in the US. I doubt it would be released then over here, but possibly in the EU, with the US on the 23rd. That difference is based on the previously announced dates of Nov 2nd and 5th.

But look at it from a different angle people went out and bought ps3's thinking the game was coming How many people have bought new wheels in the past month ? also other's pre-ordered the game And once the pre-order is confimed its unlikley they will cancell it agin due to a delay.
@ foolkiller..Nov 26th isnt that black friday ? when stores open 24hr's ? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_Friday_(shopping). read the stats regarding sales...

I have a gut feeling that the new release date will be announced at the Paris game show. Kaz will be there as well, perfect time to announce the new date and they did say they'll announce it before the end of this month. I can't see a more fitting time to do it than at the Paris Game Show. Apparently that's some time this week. (fingers crossed)

Sorry didn't intend to, really didn't, just pure coincidence being the only amphibious vehicle in the game.....

Are we talking about the same confidence than when it was supposed to be release on Nov 2nd?

I wont believe any dates until i see the real game box in-store and within my hands.

The same Paris, France where all the riots are taking place, where people have been shutting down gas stations, and where no car is driving anymore??

We need to do the same in requesting the release of GT5!

The French are onto something here guys... Keeping Retiring age at 60, will help us play GT5 when it will be finally out...

If the government raises the retiring age to 62 or 65, how will we be finding the time to play it if you still have to go work old...

That's exactly why we're on the streets ;)

Ahem ...hmm. Mhm.
:(

But I'm really confident that the new release date will be between 24th November and 10th December. It's just that I think right now that November is more likely than December.

Day after day and still people discussing about release date. This is just a great story .. because it will end up soon :( .. once the game is released.

It'll be like this:You log in GTP and read GT5 news thread and you find nothing really interesting. I wonder if GT5 is the only game that people all over the world kept discussing about its release date. Is it something special? Something very special? 💡

God, I remember when I first bought my Xbox 360 .. I kept starting at it before heading to sleep. Same story with G25 .. but with GT5 ... meh gonna have to remember the first time I knew GT5 existed.

So yeah its coming soon .. soon .. uhm .. wait .. god damnit! We're still in October!!! :irked:

Oh and guys don't get to crazy when GT5 releases in your local store. Drive safely, fasten your belt, and follow the path to GT5!!

Found some interesting new bits of info on the X1 and part of the interview with both Kaz and Adrian Newey to appear in next months CarMagazine.
When you visit their site ( by clicking the link below ) you will find a small next month preview section on the right corner ( the one which reads "click for more" ) where only one page of that article can already be read when you enlarge that page.
You can just flick through those page until the X1 article appears, enjoy.:)

Thanks to our friend Tom Petty, who remembers us that the waiting is the hardest part:) "...every day you see one more CAR (not card) you take it on faith, you take it to the heart, the waiting is the hardest part"

BRING ON GT5!!!

Anyone know of any magazines doing review's on gt5 in there next issue.
Playgamer is meant to have one. I would think official playstation magazine would be the first to get it though.

Given the delay between a magazine being written and being available to buy, combined with GT5's original release date of 3rd to 5th of November, then I'd say that the magazines due out at the end of this month should carry reviews of GT5.

Is this not just exactly the same article that's been heavily discussed over the last two days? Or are you referring to a link within that article?

Yes, read my instructions please, next to that article there's a preview section.

Your "logic" doesn't add up. Your arguing that the Nov2 date was never meant to happen, that it was a marketing ploy to get people to shell out for systems and a wheel?

True, people bought those things in prep for the game (I bought my system in July)... but they would've bought them even if Nov2 wasn't the date, and was whatever the new date ends up being instead. Wheels and stands also don't benefit Sony. Casual gamers don't buy the wheels and stands, anyways; only some hardcore racing/driving fans. It's the casual gamers that pay the bills with their purchases of big games like GT.

And yes, that's Black Friday; but games don't release here in NA on Fridays, it's always Tuesdays, so the 23rd would be more likely.

Me? I'm doubting we'll get a 2010 date. We keep hearing whispers of "PD was only 3 days late providing their gold copy" or "production issues"... it's now been over a week since the news broke, if it was either of those things (or a combination of both), we'd have a new date by now. We also only have five more business days for them to keep their word on giving us one by the end of the month. How many games, of this importance to their respective consoles, still have no solid release date at 2 months before release (if they manage the "before Christmas" thing)?

No to bother much on dates, but on the left down side were the X1 picture is, it says: "It's either a dream or you'll be driving it next week, depending on whether you've got GT5".
