Look I need some conformation on some thing. For one is there going to really be Formula 1 cars on the new GT, and I'm not just talking about those Polyphony Digital F1 cars. I mean real Formula 1 cars. And is there going to be NASCAR on Gran Turismo 5. Some one say something.

Right now, maybe even Kazunori don't know how far GT can go. I bet there will be many surprises for us when final game arrives.

Best speculations:

F1: Sony lost the F1 license to EA, so unless PD has a separate car licensing agreement then most likely not.

NASCAR: Seeing Daytona in there makes me think it is possbile, but as more than just NASCAR races there, who knows? NASCAR is just as likely as Daytona prototypes at this point.

Rumors are abound about Indy being in the game too, so if Daytona were to mean NASCAR then we have to wonder if Indy means IRL and/or ChampCar.

As for any hard fact, the only person who knows is Kazunori Yamauchi.
 
I think I got a good understanding about the F1 cars. If EA has the license to them, then most likely they wont be in the new GT. I gust that's why they do have the Polyphony Digital F1 cars it Gran Turismo 3 and 4. and I hope that NASCAR, IRL, and CART are apart of the new GT

They should fire that "Mr arcade", "i think most of americans can now drive stick shift of racing games":) And GT is not about arcade. Of course i won't care if just temper with arcade mode. Maybe EU has it own "GT artist" :)

Well, he was only referring to GT1.

And considering I actually see complaints about how it doesn't feel fast enough, he may have a point.
 
4 weeks ago, GT5 was in Italia and tested the Pagani Zonda F ! (track record at Nordsleife by standard cars with 7.27.82).

I'm looking forward to GT5 !

I'm confused. What do you mean GT5 tested the Zonda F? Are you saying someone reported Polyphony seen with one?

Yes.
Both me, and the guide who work at Pagani know's that Polyphony Digital is making GT5. It's just easier to say and write GT5.

Case closed.

Anybody else that have some news ?

-the sound from the real Zonda F was very ok, so I hope they can copi that sound as good as it gets in 2008 :D

I think you guys got your point across.


Anyway, thanks for the info, omegalotus. Of course, it will have to be considered just rumored sighting until we have some kind of confirmation from PD.

But I would think it's a safe assumption that Pagani will be represented as they have had a showing in GT3 and GT4. So, even when we got a shorter car list they were there as a new entry.

I visit Pagani 18/2 and the guide told me that GT5 had tested the Zonda F 2 weeks earlier at the Ferrari test track:)

Early plans saying 2008, my personal opinion is we have GT5 in March 2010 in our PS3's. But this time prologue has content download ability and it will shorten the waiting time.
