I still think that Jordan should write an article about the delay(s) to try and put some pressure on Sony/PD. In many cases media pressure have proven successful in making big companies come clean.. If more medias wrote negative articles about this charade, it would definitely put some pressure on Sony/PD to at least come clean about whats the problem now and what they are aiming for this time..

Excellent Idea.

Articles from the front page of GTP hit thousands of users within less than an hour, its always featured on sites like N4G etc, writing a negative article about Sony not giving a release date would definitely get attention.

I don't think there could be much more 'media pressure' than there already is, the delay and long development is mentioned in every GT5 related article and GT5 already is a very public running gag because of it.
Sony and PD know this too, no need to tell them, although they should learn to keep schtum when it matters ( like saying we should expect a new date at the end of the month ), doing it now though seems odd.

There's no valid reason for them not to say whats going on, and more specific media attention about this could force them to come out. At least they could say they still don't know the date themselves and why.

This has officially become the saddest thread I've seen on GTP in quite some time. People wanting the Administraitor to write a negative article on the front page and people wanting to harass the hell out of select peoples Facebook pages and the PS blog....for a game. Not for healthcare, not to protest a new law, but for a game. You guys need to seriously step away from the computers and from anything GT related. Is is honestly that important to you? Are you that willing to do stupid things, even if its not allowed by mods, just for a game?

GT is INCREDIBLY important to me, but I'm not about to harass anyone or even propose that.

It will be out SOON. MAXIMUM were looking at barring any further delays is 40-50 days.

50 days to play every other racing game you can get your paws on until daddy is home.

I couldn't hear you over the noise from my countries free public healthcare :p

Because no one here gives a 🤬. We NEED this game. :grumpy:

Since I visited this forum , i'm getting more exited by the hour. This forum definitely isn't healthy for me. xD

I'm just a bit VERY pissed that we don't know nothing since the delay...

They don't just delay it, but they give us nothing. Nothing. Look at the news, 1 screenshot of a track from red bull, win a yellow t shirt, play an old demo in god knows where Czechoslovakia. We don't know many of the cars, the tracks, the details. We've gotten the runaround from them over and over.

It's not that GT5 is so important to me, but while i'm at this forum, it is.. This is a Gran Turismo forum after all. I wouldn't scream about politics in here even though i am interested in that also.

Is it just me , or do many big retailers , websites , media don't know about the delay ? I mean , THIS many ?

I guess they are literally expecting crates of GT5 tomorrow morning. haha

And how would you know there's no valid reason not to explain the whole situation, maybe it's so embarrassingly simple/stupid or too complex to get into, either to spare blushes and possibly harm their reputation even further.
Sure it would be convenient for us to know the whole issue and what caused it but even them saying they haven't got a clue about a new date won't exactly change the situation for us nor does it reassure us now does it?

No, but the decent thing to do when you have broken your promises time and time again is to lie down flat and cut the crap. We deserve this much. If there really is a valid reason, we should be told.

So what are you doing here?come on... we are all here to discuss and speak about GT5 not about politic or economy!Sorry RACECAR but that was a very pathetic post:tdown:

$20 says March 2011 for time to 'polish up the game'

Did you read the first half of his post?

This will all go down in GT history, and the entire gaming history for that matter.

I think the last thing Jordan wants is a negative relationship between Sony and GTPlanet.

The only thing that is even relevant for us to be told is another release date, the sooner the better and for the record, I fully agree their communication with the fans is poor though.
But we aren't entitled to demand to know what's going on unless you're a Sony shareholder perhaps ( and again even if we knew the situation won't change one iota ).

Yeah, you're probably right. But i think at least someone should do it. Futile or not.

But we aren't entitled to demand to know what's going on unless you're a Sony shareholder perhaps .

I've got an idea! We should all buy shares in Sony! If enough of us does it, it could come to a substantial amount of shares, and they HAVE to tell us! Haha :D

Jordan doesn't actually have to write anything himself. Instead he could write an editorial detailing people's frustrations with the delay. In fact, he's sitting on a gold mine of frustration RIGHT HERE.

So what would happen if Jordan would just shut down GTPlanet until we get an explanation?

Still sounds like a bad idea. If anything, I could see him writing something small about there not being a release date published by the end of the month, as mentioned by Playstation EU twitter, and we could maybe expect something at the GT Awards at SEMA in a few days

So what would happen if Jordan would just shut down GTPlanet until we get an explanation?

People might rage harder than a GT5 delay

This was the date I predicted some time ago (over a year ago IIRC) - at this point I wouldn't be suprised if it happens to be true
