I called gamestop today and the guy told me that they will announce the date right before it hits the shelves. I guess they are expecting the games to be shipped any day now, and they probably wont have midnight release.

hello guys,
i am considering buying a 3dtv for gt5 but is it true the game will only run at 30 fps in 3D?
What do you prefer? 60FPS no 3D, or 30FPS 3D?
Interested in hearing others opinions before making my decision.

The problem with that theory is that new releases always have a street date sticker on the outside of the shipping carton to avoid early sales, if they didn't the stores would sell it the moment they got it off the truck leading to a staggered release date dependent entirely on UPS/Fedex delivery times which vary wildly.
 
Maybe I shouldn't have brought up wikipedia...

As I said, When it was first linked, it said "very, very soon". Which has been Sony's favourite phrase re: GT5.

Since being linked here, it's probably being edited by somebody here out of frustration though....

It will never end, but I just only wish the end was near. Everyone can say the game will be ready before the end of 2010 but we just haven't heard any solid info proving us wrong

Probably as long as vehicles are being produced in the world, gas or electric, Gran Turismo will continue. By then Kaz will have created a near perfect virtual simulation. đź‘Ť

What comes to mind is Jeremy Clarkson's thoughts on how the age of the petrol engines is slowly fading. Once electric engines become predominant, GT will have ended for me though. :(

I still believe it is coming out this year, I feel Dec 7th is the most likely.
 
I haven't been on this site for 24 hours. Can someone tell me why the bluray disc image has been removed? Has anything happened?
