Also, could anyone repost (or PM me) the leaked GT5 footage please? I must have missed it by about 50 pages or something. :crazy:

I don't know. There are a few trophies there that make me think that the trophies are either unfinished or aren't real.

Like what does "an insane amount of money" mean?

I don't know. And collecting 1000 cars is only bronze? I'd think, with the amount of work that will entail, that would be at least a silver trophy.

Also, all but one of those you'd get just by playing the game. The only REALLY hard one is the solitary gold trophy where you have to get all golds in EVERYTHING.

The Loony Tune trophy seems a little stupid, as well.
 
For me the video it's true.... the standard cars, new track (maybe cape ring ??), more of 6 car on track... i see a Fiat Punto HGT , Nissan Micra, Mini One and other cars from GT4...

Not really... The key is to get impressions and exposures to people that are not already actively seeking information about their product. We already know about GT5 and the release date troubles. We (GTP or people actively searching info on GT5 online) are not a new audience for Sony...

The point of marketing is to reach your target audience who is not actively informed. We all have selective attentions, it is up to the Marketing departments to reach those target audience and make them aware of the product. The casual race fans who see the commercials, then become interested. That is the impressions Sony is looking to make.

There are games that have had generalized, nondescript trophies like that before. I haven't played very many games but Arkham Asylum comes to mind.

1. The MX5 in GT5 sounds NOTHING like my MX5. In fact, it barely even sounded like a car at all.

2. GT5 has the worst chase cam in the history of racing games.

I've owned two real-life mx5's so far, neither Mk1 as it happens, but I consider myself a bit of an MX5 enthusiast, and from the numerous Mk1 MX5's I have been in, they sound very similar to the video.

Not as deep, but I'm going to allow for the cheap camera/microphone used.

Definitely better than GT5P sounds.

Maybe that is a real Miata, rather than a turbo MX-5. It sounds like it's all motor. Sounds like a good realistic sound to me, too, especially shifts.

Partially agree.FOV is really narrow, that destroys any sense of speed.GT4 has best sense of speed in gaming history, why just...damn...

I really hate that chasecam too...
Wrong FOV way too high and far away from the car....
Wish it was like in GT2-GT3 or other racing games nowadays.. or at least adjustable..

Sony has to react fast btw i mean kotaku is running the story as well now.
 
I may be wrong, but it looks like we can floor the throttle on the grass now. I believe in GT5p, anything off the pavement, our throttle was limited.
