The NA version of the game doesnt say "tyres" with a y in it, does it? I hope not.
 
I got the yellow light of death today and my SGT5 might come tomorrow. I don't want to miss it when I'm out getting a new ps3.

I would have to think it would be "tires",since that is how we have it spelled in the U.S.If it's not then no big deal.
 
Smoqu gaming have put a HD version of the GT5 intro movie on Youtube. Original sound has been replaced for copyright reasons but the video quality is fantastic:

Ive yet to see a single vid that says tires. I cant imagine they would let it say tyres in the NA version.

Just to clarify this, all communication on GT Planet, be it public or private must be in English.

While we do not review PM conversations (nor outside of Jordan have access), should this need to be done, for example in the case of abusive and/or threatening PMs, they need to be in English.

As such the policy is quite simple, if its on GT Planet, then its in English.

Could be because nobody who has leaked vids from early copies has been from NA?

I will re-phrase that I fully expect the game to say "tires" as I have faith in PD in this regard, but it would be a half-assed job on their part if they left it in as "tyres". Similarly if they spelled it "colour" as opposed to "color", as well.
 
I prefer tyres over tires, and colour over color. They're more advanced. :)
 
Amazon says order dispatched woo hoo! should have it tomorow.
On a sadder note (for some people) Amazon have run out of codes for the "free stealth cars" pre-orders placed on or after the 16th will not get the codes.

This really got me when I found out. How do they run out of a virtual code?

The only reason I left pre-ordering so late was because of the delay.

I'm an American customer and i like "tyres", colour, litre, etc., works for me.

Wasn't a complaint about the actual spelling. I could honestly care less which way people prefer to spell it, but the United States (can't vouch for Canada, because I honestly don't know) "standard" spelling is "tires". If it shows up in the game as "tyres", then that's a simple lack of attention to detail. That's all I'm saying.

Will it ruin the game for me? Absolutely not. But for the less-experienced gamers out there, it may make them see PD as producing an inferior product if they can't even spell correctly (per regional spellings).
 
OMG my GT5 is in the mail now! :) Looks like i will get it on release date.
 
That intro video is actually stunning in HD. At the alternative music makes it even better!:D:D
 
Just watched that B-Spec Tsukuba video. That Evo X is amazing, going to be mint when It's modified.

Why? Well I know your version is not in the game, but the FD2 is way better IMO. I can understand that your car is not in there though so i would be tight also. I drive a 2010 Honda Civic SI so i'm pretty happy the FD2 is in the game.

Own a NA '06 Civic Si coupe. Disappointed the game version is the sedan, but it's only a very very mild disappointment. WAY too much else for me to enjoy.
 
I hope we can make the 370 Sound like this in GT5.
