I wish I'd of known you get so many awesome cars from B-spec before now. I couldn't believe I got a Zonda R from it--and many other great ones. For anybody shoving B-spec off, don't.

Excellent video. The AI is definitely and improvement and is by no means robotic. As long as you drive like a human who fears for his life and bank account then you will have a pleasant driving experience. The one problem that Bugs me is how early the AI brakes. I guess they have to otherwise you would never pass 12 cars in 2 laps.

Unfortunately, despite what any video shows, the fact you can pass twelve cars in 2 laps shows the problem with the AI racing. That is arcade racing--not simulation based racing. I have no problem with arcade games but GT5 seems to try to be a sim in many ways yet the AI racing experience doesn't really follow suit.

Anyone know why the server has been down for the last 6 hours?

"Down for Maintainence" is what I keep reading.

I swear this better be an update, my buddies and I have been planning to race on Saturday night.

This update has got to be worth it.

Buy the spec V it's a beast. The GTR 07 is fine but the Spec V is much better. Keep leveling up i got mine up to 863HP and not many can keep up.:scared:

What does the spec-v sound like once you've upgraded its engine?

Server is back up.

PD's explanation:
"Around 06:50 EST on December 11, 2010, a problem occurred in the hardware of the server equipment used by the Gran Turismo Online Service."

I'm not typing the rest, I'll look for a link.

Well the whine from the racing gearbox makes it hard to hear in cockpit view. However outside you can hear the grunt of a the beefed up V6 it sounds good to me.

Thanks for the reply. Might think about modifying my spec-v.

QUESTION: Why are the WRC cars so slow at exiting corners? And appear to brake involuntarily every time you steer?

Have you checked to see that the 'Assists' are turned off e.g. TCS, Anti-Skid etc?

Yes, you're rallying with TCS on, never do that....

Why the hell can't i watch my split screen replay? PD how could you do such a thing?

Any notice the Dodge Challenger SRT10 in the Kevin Butler TV Spot?

These Formula GT B-Spec races take FOREVER. It's a championship, so you have to do them all at once, but they're about 45 minutes to an hour each, and there's 6 of them, although since he's winning each one pretty easily it shouldn't be necessary to race the 6th as part of the championship.

Technically, if he wins the first 4 races, he shouldn't have to race the last two.

I think so too. Points lead should be a pretty much big enough cushion that he can finish low and still win the championship.

Well, it would depend on what the other drivers did. If the 2nd place driver was 2nd place in the first 4 races, he'd have 300 points, to my drivers 400 after 4th race. If my driver got 0 on the last 2, and the 2nd place driver got two more 2nd places, or a 2nd and 3rd or something, he'd win.

Yeah and why the winner of the race doesn't start the next race from first place??
