Yes, there's no way around "grinding" in B-spec. In A-spec, there's License, Special and Seasonal Event for you to Level up but there's none of that for B-spec.
Just wait until you get to Level 35-40 (FYI, you need to do the 24 Hrs of Le Mans 12 times to get the required XP).

Holy crap.. 24 hours of le mans 12 times? Now that's what I call grinding. Lol

I have the stealth and last time I tried, I couldn't get dirt tires on it. Could we add it now?

Just tryed it myself and nope, it doesn't appear so.

Is it just me or did we see a McLaren F1 on a dirt rally track in one of the trailers?

I just tried getting dirt tires for my F1, and it wouldn't let me.

It was one of GameStop's weekly trailer when the game thought to be released Nov 2nd.
They used a dev version of the game to make the video so that's why the stealth can be on dirt road.
I love "false advertisement", don't you? :sly:

wow this is a lot for me to take in its all good news, but what i am really look for is 1/4 mile track or test like what they had in gt4, when the game is done most of us go too this as a next level in the game. please do not take that away from us. top gear track is OK but the 1/4 is better.

Have I missed the good news?
Be nice to have some news.

Just wish they would release that b-spec bob web remote control... or psp remote. It would be very helpful in repeating b-spec races you have to, to progress in level to the next ones.

Just recieved my (non rental) copy of GT5, and went for a drive in the Maserati GranTurismo S. This car is indestructable! I drove it into the chicane wall at full speed on Monza, and it looks fine. Are there any other premium cars that do this?

All cars in the game do that. Visual damage is very limited and mechanical damage can only be turned on in practice and online. We're all hoping that the damage system is incomplete and will be patched later on but at this point no one really knows.

EDIT: It doesn't matter which level you're at or how far you're into the game, the damage system is the same.

Yes, all of them, until you level up far enough to start receiving damage, then no.

@replies to my post. I was complaining about how limited the the damage was, even at GT5 standard. I already know about the weaknesses of the games' damage system, but this showed no damage whatsoever, cosmetics wise.

Isn't damage locked at the start?

I don't really care about it, so I'm not sure...

No it is not locked at any point. All cars suffer different amounts of cosmetic damage with Race cars able to display the most damage however the amount of damage is always minor compared to the severity of impact.

It will take you multiple tries to get the visual to even show up. That's the damage system, it's not gonna get any better as you progress through the game (unless PD patch it of course).

Hum... is PSN down? Can't login right now.

Never mind... it's working again (checking for new stuff, just in case...)

so has anyone heard if the custom gearbox is going to be fixed, this really bums me out, as its a massive thing in GT, it can make you win a race or loose if its not adjusted

Not true. I drove a car in A-Spec around level 20 and tried to totally destroy it. At one point (both doors gone, massive rear and bumper damage) the car could not drive faster than 130 km/h, not like 250 km/h as before. So i drove through the box and the engine got repaired, although the optimal damage was still the same.

Don't believe that for one minute.
