laughing out loud
You need to make up your mind. First you're frustrated that sony doesn't give us enough info, enough new stuff about the game. The next day you're complaining that their hype for the game shouldn't be trusted.

Seriously, i did say the "hype" around that little trailer was created by ourselves, i said we shot ourselves in the foot.
I don't blame PD/ Sony therefor for any dissapointment for the eventual anti-climax any hype creates.

That is a totally different subject from whether the clip shows anything really new, which it sort of does ( night racing, Rome, etc. ).
Man, lighten up, were in the same boat and i wasn't frustrated about lack of info, but dissappointed about their disinfo in general if you read it correctly.:D

Am I the only one who is damned impressed by the new trailer:)

Fair enough that you don't want damage, but you were commenting on the damaged Subaru by showing a picture of a squashed RX-7 on how it's supposed to look after an impact of that magnitude.

If you're sending out conflicting messages, how am i to know you weren't complaining? ;)

It's too bad that people can not make a comment without someone else thinking they're either complaining or being a fan boy.

I just made a comment, that's all.

As far as how the damage looks. 👎
Pieces falling off in this fashion. 👎
Look at the rear bumper, no damage there after being smashed into, yet the hatch pops open.
If the Subaru had some dents (like it should) that would be better, not just pieces falling off or popping open.

Now (to clarify) that is me complaining about what I see in the video.

As long as the damage has the option to be turned off, I'm happy.

And let me add this.......after watching a full season of WRC (with some horrific crashes) I don't remember many doors flying open or being ripped off, except of course for Latvala in Portugal.
I'll also add that the channel I watched it on was not the greatest coverage but they most certainly had plenty of roll overs and flips and cars with bent frames and roll bars.
Those guys are nuts. 👍

I'm not saying it has to be real, it needs to be tweaked though, and in a big way.

Fair enough? :)

would you mind showing me where kaz hypes up damage?

Can't remember where I read it but I'm almost certain he said expect perfection or something.

Btw, does anyone know what track it is at 1:56 in the new trailer?

Its some road in Tuscany, watch the Ferrari 458 Italia trailer.
No one knows if it will be in the game though.

Nice, little video. Unfortunately it stopped at the first picture of Rome circuit for me.
Anyways I'm fairly unimpressed, same old Subaru with same old damage? Oh my, it will take forever at this rate. ;)

I take it those vids are all pre-renderend anyways until I have the disc in the console and see it myself. :)

First of all i looked back at my comments, and the comments i made about complaining ( which i thought were already being debated in a different thread ) were not adressed to you.

You then responded to that comment prompting me to respond ( also reading your previous posts ) thinking you first pointed out how damage should look and then claiming you did't ask for damage in the first place.

I said "fair enough", implying i did see your point and that i was confused in the first instance.
So sorry for suggesting anything i didn't.

It was meant tonque in cheek, hence the wink......

I agree. I've been to Rome and seen that monument. If I'm not mistaken its the monument to Vittorio Emanuele II.

No, I'm pretty well chuffed myself. I still haven't seen much of the quality even in Prologue from other racing games.

By the way, my feet are in great shape. ;)
