And this is pretty much what happens to the GTR concept at Prologue, there's some WRS members which refuse to participate in some events, due the complete lack of cockpit view in that car, even knowing that the real car hasn't any interior at that time.

yeah, but you could use the actual GTR in those events, can't you? (don't know, haven't played the game)

Actually, my biggest questions are:

1. Will the AI cars be "Black flagged" as well? It sucks in GT4 when the slam you from behind and you get the DTP or speed limit penalty.

2. With the new tire engine, will tires blowout and pop and deflate?

3. Will Sebring be in the game? :P (my favorite track of all time)

Hi Guys..I ve got somehing big news.:)

Freakin sweet, but I would keep this on the down low because PD probably reads these forums intermittently. I would delete your post, PM Jordan, and then release the data when you have it.

i edited. They said No information. ok

Anyone get a screen grab of that before it was deleted? ;)

what did I miss, and what does a translation company have to do with anything.

They're doing the translation for Gran Turismo 5, apparently and someone mentioned they had said they had about 1000 pages of text from the game.

So, what I gathered from that, was that he is the guy doing the Turkish translation for GT5. Which is a 1,000 page book, but will not reveal anything because of a confidentiality agreement.

Is this correct?

Yes that was the only and last info about GT5..They will give nothing about GT5/Because of agreement.:)

Wait, if GT5's already being shipped to the translators, wouldn't that mean that the game is pretty much finished? At least all the text is written for it. That's good news. And further suggests that there just might be a world-wide launch for the game.

Well, they can probably go ahead and ask for the text to be translated. Certainly not something you want to leave for the last minute. Especially if its 1,000 pages.:)

I'd help with Italian and/or Spanish if it helps release the game sooner :/

that's true. and it might take another 5 months to finish all 1000 pages. (note: that's 1000 pages of Japanese text. which generally takes up less room than most other languages. So, in English, that might be something like 1500-2000 pages of text. That's a lot of text. I don't think GT4 had that much. then again, there's the names and info on all 1000 cars and such.

Faster than finishing of all 800 standard models.

I think the 'standard' issue with cars having no 'interior' or 'cockpit view' is played out now. We'll have to wait for more confirmation. I'm sick of getting on these forums and seeing that as the only thing being discussed. Lets move on to more INFORMATIVE things, huh? Lets talk more about this 1000 pages of information. Sounds like a LOT of content.

to give you an idea: 1000 pages is about the same thickness as a "small" dictionary. (the Oxford American Dictionary that I have has 1089pages)

true, still, it's a lot of text. Although, I would assume that most of it is information on the 1000 cars.

Even if the forums don't move on from the 'cockpit' (such a bad sounding word) it didn't say the standard cars won't have 'cockpit view' instead KAZ said standard cars won't have 'interior view'. Hmm. Is it just me or does there ring a bell with 'interior' being talked about before? Interior before was said to be the inner workings of the cars, not the driving position.

we've been over this 8 million times, let's move on.
These people will never move on. They're too busy ignoring that we won't have a cockpit/interior view & just believe the 2 don't mean the samething.:dunce:

Maybe old news by now - no HUD?

Top gear in car - maybe HUD is turned off when using headtracking

what do you mean, no HUD? There's the track map and lap times and everything.

see the bottom of screen - all the speed, rev, G-Force, throttle/brake, turbo boost, and gear indicators

But the tach and speedo aren't there. Or are they just out of view in that shot?

HELL YES!!!

I haven't noticed the first time i saw the video, but it's a dream come true!

We know the course layout can be disabled from the options menu, so it looks like we finally got our with.

We just need an extra option to clear the lap times and we're set.

It's a Ford GT, it's kinda off the right side - just a dark video
