I have three things to point out from the new batch of screenshots:

  • Both the driver and the navigator have identical faces

  • Are refering to the Ford Focus (BP Ford Rally)?

Here's a pic of Jarmo Lethinen (co-driver) and Mikko Hirvonen (driver)

haha customizable license plates?
Hmmm... No need for that I think..
There are more important things.

I think you mean it will "blow everyone away" perhaps?

hmm, yeah perhaps.
it should mean that i think this game will be very good! more than good.
im not native english, and i thought thats a common phrase in english..

i got it from maddox homepage (www.bestpageintheuniverse.net) from the article "Idaho blows" if anyone knows this site. If not, go and have a look. its nothing less then the name suggests :D
I always thought its a way to express that something is realy awesome, and he utilized the phrase for being sarcastic..
thanks for the correction..

the quote from yamauchi is an perfect expression of what makes the series as lovely as it is! and im all excited that he said that!
Therefore GT!

Banzai GT!

  • The license plates no longer just feature the make of the car - they have country codes and actual numbers this time! Maybe customizable license plates are a possibility?
It may be a feature, but this picture isn't proof. WRC cars in real life all have license plates.

So do some road cars in GTPSP (can't remember if they had plates in GT4 or not). Spyker C8 comes to mind for example.

The Yellowbird in GT4 also has "license plates" (MN P 911), it depends on what the car has they use to model.

The number plates thing isn't proved by the screenshots but, it was mentioned as a planned feature for Vision GT if i remember rightly.

If they were customisable, and unique to online, i'd guess you would have to register a number plate to your PSN account. It would be a clever way of making money if we had to bid on virtual private number plates.

Now what was Mr Bean's number plate for his mini?

In the new batch of screenshots, there is a front view of the car and both passengers are facially identical.

...What?...I'm a proctologist:lol:

chepe371, next thing you know, you'll be running for the president of the Del Boca Vista Condos - Phase 3! :sly:

I have to believe PD won't give us an option to litter the online racing with such plates.
That one is probably mild to what we would see.
I like the idea of an PSN name-plate though.

I found this quick video of the Aman himself.

Mods delete if this is too much.

I don't see custom plates being a huge issue, particularly if you can change the livery. I think it was the GTi+ game on the PSN that had customized plates, but the number of characters was very limited. I couldn't put FoolKiller on mine and had to settle with FK.

Hi everyone im looking foward to make friends in this amazing comunity cause i love GT....
my fav automaker is Honda, and i cant wait to race u guys in Nurburgring in my Nsx R ....

Toyota Ft video track is this?
Not really enough information to say.

The Stelvio pass road was the first thing I though of when seeing the video and although it may not be that actual road they seem to have ben inspired by the original.

Whether it's the Stelvio pass or not I think it's safe to assume that GT5 is going to have a high altitude, winding Italian pass of some type included.:)

Hope it is the Stelvio Pass!!!

Bit too narrow for racing but would be a great addition and challenge!

Can Not Wait.

Do you think it will be 'Davos to Stelvio, the greatest driving road in the world' from Top Gear?

That is the Stelvio..Look at the stones..There are bars between stones

Possibly, but do any other roads have the same barriers?

I really hope so (Stelvio).. 👍

There is another hint.Top Gear was there:)

Watching the Top Gear episode again I notice the first location they go to called "Col de Turini" has the same features but hosts a special rally stage, IMO this is more likely the road considering GT has WRC licensing now.

Col de Turini is also a awsome pass. :D

Those breaks in the barriers do look pretty distinctive, but perhaps it's a common thing. In any case if you guys are right, big kudos. :) Would be fun.
