It may be an XJR-9 with a different livery. Or same livery, different number, like the Team Oreca Vipers #51 & #91.

I'm hoping that it will be this version (with uncovered rear-wheels):

Amazing, what can i say, i love every bit of this.
This game is getting better and better and better and better.......................

PLEASE

Can we get the Audi R18 TDI Le Mans 2011 winning car.

And the number 73 Corvette Racing C6.R from the same race.

PLEASE :) pretty please. LMP cars are sooo oout of date in the game it hurts.

So, you guys are happy that PD releases overpriced DLC packs? Are you happy that the final game will probably cost 130+ euros? Are you happy that the real GT fans, the ones that bought the game when it was released, get this kind of treatment while new customers get all the goodies for much less money? Can't you see what GT6 will be like?

People who buy DLC packs are ruining everything. FFS, they made you pay for new paint colors and helmet designs...

Get lost! It's a brilliant DLC pack, that features some cars that the community wanted plus an epic track.

Unfortunatelly DLC came to stay. I'm from a time where you used to buy a complete game, in a cartdrige, without patches, etc.

But now, its different, and I can say I like most stuff of those new times. Updates are good, DLC, is good. Expand your game.

R18 TDI I would kill for that race machine lol

The DLC's are not overpriced in my opinion. What do you expect them to wrk for free?

Its DLC you have a choice to buy it or not. Also you know you too can buy the XL edition for discounted DLC price, its not just exclusive to new customers.

Real GT fans hahahahaha....you definitely do not sound like one.

Yup it seems GT6 is going to be much more to what the fans want but still with PD's little touches (like that beetle I am pretty sure no on requested it on the dlc wish list yet here it is and people are actually looking forward to it more than the Lamborghini. Thats what GT is about all automotive culture and it educates the players on it too.

Expand your game.

Yeah. Sure.

[sarcasm] It's not like PD realized that they can make people pay for something they could have offered from the beginning, right? They surely will not pull this off in the future. This will totally not make them offer you less for more money. [/sarcasm]

I have a theory about the two green icons on the Route X test course. Green is colour convention to start something. The second icon implies a circuit, or continuity / infinity. Perhaps the first (conventional start) icon is to start a speed test which ends after 1000m. Hopefully this is possible online to satisfy the drag racers! Perhaps the second icon is to allow a continuous run around the circuit. Or, as someone else suggested, perhaps the second icon is for a skid-pan.... sounds cool, would love it to be the case but I can't imagine it. Also notice there is no track icon in the list, which appears for every other track (in my experience when going to practice mode in GT mode). I wonder why not?

EDIT: hang on... the pic above is in imperial (miles). The pic I saw before is in metric; 0-400m, 0-1000m, 0-100kph, 0-200kph. The above is different. 1/4 mile is 402.3 metres, 1 mile is 1609.3 metres, 100kph is about 62.1mph, so 60mph is 96.6kph. So the tests in metric and imperial for acceleration are not directly comparable, I guess. I wonder how this is handled if the tests are possible online. Perhaps the host could determine the measurement. Weren't the old tests always 0-400m and 0-1000m, even if the speed in units was mph?

That's the XJR-8. It's even in the URL.

XJR-9 LM didn't have uncovered rear wheels and as far as I can tell was only #1, #2, #21, and #22.

Whoops! Thanks for correcting me. I hang my head in shame! :)

Man, I am personally in awe with this update, and was as well with the last.

I'm very excited to see what will come from PD this year.👍

I'm also very thankful this game keeps getting better & better...

How many games can we say do that over their first year +?

Heres what we have now...

And here's the other XJR-9 Livery

Though i believe we'll just get the one we already have as a premium, I'm not complaining. the XJR is a seriously under-rated car. Extra Pic

Hmmm... My knowledge of Jaguar's racing history isn't that great, maybe i've made an error here...

EDIT 2: This site says that the XJR-9-LM Won Le Mans in '88 and showed the Castrol car as the picture...

EDIT 3: Wikipedia sets it straight! The Castrol was raced in the IMSA (Which included the 24h of Daytona) and the Silk Cut ran Le Mans...

EDIT 4: So, we'll be getting either a upgrade of the #2 or the implementation of the #1, #21 or #22 that ran Le Mans with the same Silk Cut livery as the one we have. Implementing a new one would be rather pointless though, seeing as #2 is the most famous of the bunch 👍

EDIT 5: Just refreshed the page and saw GTPorsche's post. He knows his stuff 👍

Castrol Livery was the XJR-9D, which was the IMSA GTP version. The difference between the LM variant and the D is the LM variant has a lower wing, different headlights and larger cooling ducts.

Jaguar XJR-9 LM winning Le Mans car is the #2 Silk Cut Livery.

I asume:

Route X = Special Stage Route 10 = SSR10

SSR11 looks very similar. Perhaps SSR11 is later coming as an extension / configuration to SSR10's oval.

Thx for the head-ups, I hope there's some truth in your theory.

Disregard old SSR5 and SSR11. You can already see ferry cranes in the scenery of the current (GT5) versions of SSR5 and SSR7.

As for "SSR X", I think that's "X" as in eXperimental, ie: street/city/industrial scenery, but not really on public roads.

A lot of online players wanted that so they can play street driving with cops

Perfectly fine with that. I get what I want and that costs money, and I have no problem paying lunch money for that.

That's how the the market works atm and there's nothing we can do about it, but GT is still very cheap for what you get. Just to give you some examples, Forza4 is already more expensive than GT5 and that margin will continue to increase, and a full copy of Iracing easily exceeds the cost of every GT game combined.

Without dlc we wouldn't have 3 of the very best tracks in the game, 20 great cars and some additions that make the game broader.

As am I. PD really is showing a commitment to their product and fans. Its great to see that not only are they paying attention to the community but they are taking action.

Makes sense to see the Nissan leaf in the game. I have Kaz as a friend on Facebook and he has pics of the leaf. Looks like he was doing a test drive of it. ( not sure if the two are connected) . I would like to drive the leaf to see how it is. Electric Car Spec Race Series anyone????

Me too but I can't buy the dlc pack but I can buy the gt5 xl If it's including these cars :)

Unfortunately, XL or Spec II disc only includes the first two DLCs and not the upcoming one. Biggest giveaway is that the XL is on sale on Jan. 17th while this DLC is released on the 18th.

Between sparks of genius (Avantador, Vantage, jag LM...) what's wrong in Kaz's head??? we already know that it takes lots of months to deliver ONE car.... and you waste it on deceptions like a "leaf', a "old Beetle" and a maybe the most ugly-ever looking Mini???

Especially when GREAT iconic standards are in need of a premium upgrade (Renault-Alpine, Ruf Yellowbird, R5 Turbo, Lotus Seven, etc...) or when amazing recent powerful beasts are still ignored: Ariel Atom, Audi S5, Gumpert Apollo, ....).

Seems to me like a big waste of time and talent on uninteresting & boring features...

For you it's a waste, others love it. That's the way it is. Noone can ever satisfy everybody. This pack is well balanced, you get a race car, a hyper-car, a grand tourer, a classic car, a hatchback/crossover (starting to get some SUVs in the game?) and a normal, everyday car (electric this time). So everyone can have their own favourite.

If for example there would be a car pack with only race cars, I would be unhappy, because I prefer stock road-legal cars than race machines. But some people would love it.

Balance is everything and this pack is well balanced IMO.
