I've looked around for tips and hints... But I simply can't beat that time.
Been trying for hours now.

I've tried with ABS set to OFF, ABS set to 1 and ABS set to 10. Thinks that's the only thing that are adjustable on this license that can make the difference.

Im so close too, it's almost funny... Target time: 16.700 sec My time: 16.708 sec

Does anyone know any trick that might help me get this license over with?

I got both wheel and a DS3 so pick your choise.

Edit: It's the 1000 meter stopping challenge.

Oh yea, this one SUCKED! It was pretty much pure luck that I ever got it.

Actually I think I pulled the E-Brake and spun it into the finish line for this one - picked up that trick from a Youtube video.

Just give your car a lot of ABS to ensure proper Breaking without bli King the wheels, and try to find the right fix-spot for breaking and go from there.

When you find the right fix-point to ensure a full stop early in the stop-field, you'll get the trophy :-)

Bring up the RA menu and turn the brake balance up to 10, front and rear.

It was the silver bullet for me. Got it 3rd try after jebus knows how many failures.

👍

Brake literally when the front of your car touches the 5th white line. But as soon as it touches it. All aids were off except abs at 1. Just do what i did and you'll gold it easy. Good luck.

Thanks guys..

I still having trouble golding it.. No idea why....

Since I got my wheel i've gone from 18 golds to 43 golds... This one and the IC-10 pisses me off...

I'm like you I got close but i could never get the gold. Then I read a post that explained that the problem was that you loose too much time with wheel spin of the line. Try not holding the throttle down until the timer hits 1. It worked for me. Hope it will work for you

I can tell you for a fact that you can get all gold on every liscense with a DS3 controller. I say that cuz thats what i used. I cant help you with the IC-10 sinse im not home. But i know you can do the stoping one the way i explained earlier. Your goal as to where you need to end up after completely braking is right at the start of the blue line. What i mean is have your car back bearly passed the start of the blue line. Your goal is to get the car to stop right at the start of the blue line.

Yeah I know that. But I still can't seem to get the right place to start braking.

I always end up 0.030ish above gold or I stop to early outside the stopping area.

Ive gilded all of them I'm just really struggling with the last slalom challenge,I'm about a second off the pace

Yep, the slalom one was the one that took the longest time for me. Having 60 golds sure is rewarding though - keep it up!

This one took me over 100 tries (no exaggeration). I stopped trying to use a visual reference on the track and use the speedo. I used auto transmission (I think this is the only time I have used it) to make sure shifting wasn't a factor. I can't remember the exact number but it was something like 138mph (or was it kph?) and then tiny adjustments from there. I had so many that were within a hundredth, and just as many where I stopped just a tad short, but I finally did it.

I think I am going to backup my save again just to make sure I never have to do this one again.

I used an auto trans, 3rd person view, ABS 0 and hit the brakes when the car is on the X (like DuckBrazil mentioned).

I struggled for along time on this license until someone posted that you lose a lot of time of the line because of wheel spin. Don't hold down the throttle until the starting count down gets down to one. it does not seem to do anything but if launches your take off by .50 secs that's all you need. i got iy on my third or fourth try after that. Give it a try goodluck.

"your most frustrating GT5 moment" perhaps..... probalbly one of mine too lol.
Key is to find the exact braking point, and make sure there is absolutely no time between the gas and the breaking.
Took me about 24 years to get it...

It's easy. You can get it in about 5 tries max. Set your ABS on about 8, brake a little later than your normal point, BUT TAKE A LINE THAT WILL MAKE YOU HIT THE SIDE OF THE FINISHING 'GRID'. Use that to get you to a final stop, but make sure your angle is quite shallow or else it will DQ you. Give it a bash...

Thanks guys..

I had to do quite alot of attemps to get gold with IC-10. The key to gold is to get 3rd before turn 3, it is I think. And block that Lamborghini Miura on that straight. First lap should be ~1.23,XXX at least to get first. I took over the black Lamborghini Countage in one of the last turns.

Wrong test, dude. :) It's the braking test - IC-1 not IC-10.

Use the big x in the road as a reference. Brake hard, let up a little without releasing the brakes when you down shift, (make sure your not redlining when down shifting), back on the brakes hard. Continue the steps through the gears. Be consistant. If you overshoot then brake earlier at the last x on the road before you brake. You want to stop with only your front tires across the finish.
