He probably made it for the people out there who don't know about GTPlanet and are fans of Gran Turismo.
Ever thought of that? 💡
 
Oh, it's crossed my mind... but I still wonder why somebody who's a fan of the game would watch a 15 year old's Youtube video instead of typing in "Gran Turismo 5 News" on Google... since GTP is the first result ;).

@ Antti-san, haha yep I think they were trying to cash in on the name. The track is still there now but it's called Calder Park and it's a proper circuit with left and right turns now. Kind of like a dirty and neglected version of the High Speed Ring in Gran Turismo.

That's a desert, looks to be somewhere in the US, not hay plains like in Tuscany. And that second image doesn't really prove Laguna Seca is in GT5 at all, although it is likely as the circuit has been featured in the series since GT2.
 
Map of El Capitan. Possibly means it has a good chance of being in GT5 but who knows what it's for.

^ Can't be the awesome CS. The scenery is too lush & Italian-ish. The CS has a scenery similar to any Driving Park tracks. And on that section it had those turbulent elevation changes! :scared:

^ Never underestimate the Complex String, it was an excellent test bed to test cars. And take note, it was not a race track it was a test track. All it needs is a little moisture (aka. rain/wet). :sly:
 
However, if patriotzero's "last scene" refers to the pictures in regnar's post, then the track is obviously set in Tuscany (though that would be an asphalt section, not the dirt track shown at E3).
 
^ I have that same vibe too, considering that we might have a smaller track selection. :indiff:

-> But I'm in an angst that PD keeps on flip-flopping race courses/tracks (like cars too).
 
That track in the Ferrari vid is a Tuscany track

All that brownish landscape and those long slim trees gives it away, and it's in Italy
