I don't really get it. I understand what it's referring to though.

Just that the price layout is crazy or in most peoples eyes "not very well thought out"

ie you can buy a car for ... "looks at used car lot" a nissan March g# '99 for 11,750cr then have to pay 6,000cr for sports tyres (hard ones at that) which if you bought said car would be an upgrade

Nissan march 12sr '07 brand new from NCD 17,830cr
Racing softs to go on your 13" rims - 36,000cr

18,170cr more than the car itself

18,170cr more than the car itself for tires that will last 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 miles. With occasional pits for umm, repair. ;)

going off topic :dunce:
but id rather get charged 600cr per tyre every time i wear out a tyre than pay 36,000 to be in the unlimited tyres for life association

Its actually realistic they didn't allow you to put in a turbo, so far no one has yet. The car in that video does not run the original engine, IIRC its a EJ25. Someone will probably come up with a solution one way or another, though.

Since it is a Subaru flat-4, and they are pretty well turboed, it is safe to say the 86 will get a turbo. And since the turbo output in the game isn't really matched up to turbo output in real life, and since we know they aren't going to back later and add the option to put turbos on this car, I'm with the other person. We should be allowed to put turbos on the car now.

Oh, and completely unrelated to this conversation, I actually just created and used this in another thread:

He was bragging about beating street cars with a JGTC car.

As SVX pointed out, the turbocharged BRZ/86 in that video has a EJ25 engine. This is the same engine that comes from the Subaru WRX and WRX STI, which, as we know, can be turbocharged. This is NOT the same engine found in the BRZ/86.

Yes, but what I'm saying is it will be a matter of months before production spins up on turbos for the new engine. It isn't some new technology, it is just new geometry. In fact, I imagine the first turbos put on this new engine will be turbos from other Subaru boxers with homemade brackets to mount them.

But, since we all know PD isn't going to "retrofit" this car to let us put turbos on it after they are available for real, they might as well let us put turbos on it now.

Alright I got about 25 pages in, so I hope I'm not repeating my one and only contribution.

I made this on account that the 'real' grip setting should be called reduced grip setting, As I've driven many different cars at speeds from 1mph to over 100mph in all conditions from bone dry to ice and snow... and if real tyres gripped like GT5 claims we'd all be dead really quickly!

Why'd you want the racing line? No offense, but I think it's their way of filtering the experience and good drivers from the new guys.
