what do you think is lacking fundamentally??

Hmm that is a good question,
I think we should start with what it does have, 1000 cars detailed inside and out which nothing can compare to. Some of the Worlds most famous race tracks, also unmatched in quality. And most importantly, in my opinion, is Physics. Its called The Real Driving Simulator for a reason. Prologue felt like no other racing I have ever played. The TT demo Physics were even better!

What I think is lacking is, sense of freedom, and sound quality.

Maybe this technique matches with you, since you came up with the idea!
Yeah, that's right

However, what do you think is lacking fundamentally??
Based on what we have seen so far:

- Engine sounds are generally OK, but very sterile
- Tyre screeching is still OTT
- No skid marks
- No reverse lights
- Trees are still cardboard cut-outs
- Still seems to have relatively weak AI (cars just follow in a precession)

While not many other racing games out there have the gloss that GT5 does in terms of graphics, the do have GT5 licked in other areas.

What's lacking fundamentally?
For me it's IMPACT physics (Forza have good job of it!).However it's not lacking - it's PD's deсision (Kaz said that you can enjoy the race after "crash").
But i swear i can play GT4 forever if impact model was implemented!
