I don't know why but I have no clue what all you guys are talking about :)

lol

Dude, look, when you drive and in the near distance objects or whole parts of the track pop up=suddenly appear=no fluid display of distant objects=programming fail=too little hardware memory.

Ohhh ok. SO like a glitch or a programming fail like you said.

Strangely it hasn't happened to me yet.

You simply didn't notice. Because it happens on numerous tracks in GT5, infact, GT3 and 4 had less pop-ups.

You may need glasses mate. It definately happens. Quite subtle.
Try Tokyo on the long straight and look to the distance.
Doesn't really bother me much.

Alot of people mention that they don't see any screen tearing, which is also present.

It's probably an eye sight issue. Maybe more people a susceptible to such issues.

I'm 41 so my eyes should be on there way out but I can notice these things.

Oh ok I understand now you mean like the scenery and background objects not like actual pylons or stuff popping up.

Yea I see it like trees in the background and stuff like that.

I thought you guys were talking about pylons and stuff.

I dunno about pop-up, but I do know about pop-out!

The Nurburgring 24hr change time/change weather track has a couple of nasty pop-out - were the track dissappears - the most obvious, is after the first chicane, just as you are heading to the sharp-left hander. 👍

Most of the track creator locations have hideous pop ups.

This. Ran a Toscana track recently... The trees (and their shadows) were popping up just a few metres in front of the car...

It's not as bad on the 'normal' tracks, though.

For those unsure of what pop up is, just watch any video from the original Daytona USA on the SEGA Saturn.

Daytona definitely has bad pop up issues, even Tokyo is pretty bad, that high speed turn is damn near invisible. If you react when you see it, you are too late. gives a whole new meaning to the term blind corner.

Man the PS3 is the stupidest piece of hardware I have ever owned. I bought it when it launched for like 600$ and change, which sony sold for at a loss. They spent a gazillion dollar developing a pretty much useless chip (unless you want to cure cancer or launch missiles) and then skimped on the RAM. Who does this??? Glad they are last place this generation, maybe they will rethink their arrogance and get back to the PS1-2 glory days.

Well they did it, and has success as of late. More RAM should have been placed from the get go, but really, what do we know about building a high end console while trying to maintain costs at the same time?

Would you have paid $1,000 for it to have more RAM? I think not.
