I haven't noticed this. I do play with a controller at the moment but my GT steering wheel is on the way.
If anything, I think GT5 is more realistic in every way and I think that 99% of the fans here will agree.
I never got around to try a whole lot of cars in GT5P, but overall I feel that GT5 is a surprisingly massive step up in terms of physics/handling.
I've played both with a G25 wheel.

Edit: To extend a bit on that, I feel that the cars in GT5 feel a lot more alive and responsive than the ones in GT5P. As I said though, I only have experience with a limited selection of cars from GT5P - and it's been some months since the last time I played it - so I could be wrong of course.

I agree totally
Oh crap lol
This whole thing about the simulation is wrong
I just put back the standard suspension and it feels right now
Really sorry guys
Lol
This thread's title does, albeit inadvertently, bring up a decent point, though. All of Prologue's cars were of current-generation standards, for a start.
No I just had a customized suspension that was hideous..
Just got it back to standard and problem is fixed
I am really sorry I've been playing with that suspension since I bought the car and that's the only 1 I've been using
Yes gt5 is better and improved
