I just saw in the news section that the GT5 Prologue is going to be extended. First, I didn't realize it was going to be ended. What exactly is the prologue and how will this effect us when PD does not support it?
Prologue is exactly that to GT5. The on-line severs used for that instalment were meant to end soon or already but will be kept open until September or later this year before (I'm imagining) being switched for use on the GT5 on-line service.
If you have to ask the question "What is it?" then you have no need to worry about it. I never owned a copy so am not bothered about the cancellation and most people have probably switched to GT5 now anyway.
It's what the vision for GT5 was. Less features than the full game, but in a much more polished looking package. It's all about racing and tuning. No silly paint chips, helmets, horns, ect. Less cars, but they're all premium.
