Am I the only one excited for the track pack?

I am excited for it, however I personally think it will feature redone GT original tracks and probably not new real tracks, though I am probably wrong. If all it has is a test track then I don't mind what the others are.

(Mt Panorama would be fantastic)

Look at them cars in ze background, b*tches:

Are these the new DLC race cars? The mazdaspeed RX7, the Subaru?

Maybe new RMs?

Guys, did you have notice that all cars have light on?

Night/day transition to TGTT?

I hope they bring back some of the old GT tracks like El Capitan, Red Rock Valley, Seattle Circuit etc.

"very shortly we will be sharing with you details of a forthcoming package of exciting DLC for GT5 that will include new vehicles and tracks plus a host of other additional new content. The news will be incoming to PlayStation Blog and gran-turismo.com very soon so keep your ear to the ground." -from EU Playstation Blog post

AHHHH! what does "very soon" mean, 1 second, 1 day, 1 week, 1 month?!
Awesome day for GT5!

1 year, 1 decade, 1 century, 1 millennium?!

yes

The impreza behind the skyline has very wide wheel arches so I am wondering if there will be new body mods too. Also I hope they bring back some of the old GT fantasy tracks in the track pack. I miss midfield raceway.

It's a dam shame they dropped the quality of shadows for better smoke effects, skidmarks and other things that aren't so important. Prologue had perfect shadow effects

That's not the problem. Are you kidding me? It's just the lighting engine. It's too good. PD never said it was too good, but how else does the lighting engine make shadows jaggy? Because it's advanced as hell.

This update went far pest my expectations. Wow. Fantastic work PD. The information we were given seems to good to be true.

I would like to think here are some of the old tracks in the Track pack, and definitely excited at the prospect of some Seasonals on them. But what happens if a Seasonal is set on one of the new tracks and you haven't purchased it?

Just throwing that one out there as, to be honest, I'll be buying the lot the moment they're released!

Implementation of the particle effects and real-time sun has drain much ram as well as CPU power. That's all. If they make shadow resolution higher frame-rate will drop dramatically.

This. I always almost laugh at people who say something like "Improve teh damaaaaaaaaaagee!!!"

Well, teh Cell is not allmighty is all I can say. The PS3 is dated, period, it's a miracle GT5 does what it does, everything more will, as you already said, affect the framerate-drastically.

High Speed Ring doesn't seem to support that, seeing last screenshots. Track time is fixed at 16:10.

Hm, bummer. :(

You has made me a sad little derp.

NopeAs you see, no time change at HSRing

Thx.

One of the new features was something like "change day time/weather" for track.

Maybe. For. All. Tracks.?

Nope

Well, look who's the idiot? My bad. I'm just so excited. Thanks for the info.

You're funny.
It's my mistake. haha I feel like a dumby now.
I just knew it had to do with limitations. Shadows would have been fixed as soon as it was possible if it were simple programming.
Still, Call me jakhole. We all feel like that SOMETIMES.

As a non-nascar follower can someone please answer a question. Are the 11 new nascars likely to be 11 new drivers' cars. Or the 11 existing cars with this year's liveries? I've seen that Kyle Busch seemed to be driving a different coloured car #18 on tv recently.
