For the rest I'm pleased with most other updates although adding another field of NASCAR vehicles boggles the mind frankly (not a NASCAR hater but they already take up a disproportional amount of the Premium selection in my opinion).

Really not that hard to put them in. There's only 4 different models, (3 in the game?) then the rest is just livery editing.

Nobody is forcing you to drive them...

Saving different tunes to cars!! YES!! Now I can drag, drift and race without buying 3 of the same car!!

^^^ Actually, come to realize, it's unrealistic to use a car like that. This is a definite GT player influenced update. Multiple tuning setups for a single car. Nonetheless, I never expected it to come, and I'm so happy it did. I've needed this desperately this past week.

If we're getting 11 NASCAR (CARS), how many DLC cars are were getting?

A question: Would modelling 11 NASCARs be as difficult? MUCH easier?

One of very few people to think this, but Kaz agrees with you before the game launched.

I think there are much more who think the same way though, to whom a generic interior is basically the same as a generic exterior.
But perhaps there are a lot who'd requested a PSP-style cockpit and although it's impossible to grant the wishes of those who only like a correctly modelled, detailed and working dashboard (like me) this at least caters for the other group, simply put, making the game better in this regard for a lot of players whilst remaining largely unchanged (apart perhaps from some examples I mentioned) for another large group of players.
So I do understand this decision on that basis but remain unimpressed with the result but ofcourse I have to try it to see if that opinion could change (which I doubt it will).

It isn't simply a change of livery, each NASCAR car has a unique interior (meaning even cars from the same brand) so there's a lot more to it (and therefor more than just 3 models), but maybe the interiors of the 2011 models don't differ that much from the current selection.

That last sentence I don't understand as that wasn't my point, ofcourse I can choose not to drive any car included (or going to be included) but I was talking about the balance in the Premium selection, in my opinion it needs more variety instead of more of the same.

They'll have the new HSV-010GT for sure, the new Lambo, The 2012 GT-R, some more race cars. As for tracks, probably some GT4 tracks updated to GT5 status, maybe one more real life track.

The changes are pretty impressive and I like what they are bringing in the Spec 2.0 update. :) Now to just find out what will be in the car and track DLC packs. I'm hoping for entirely new cars and tracks, that have never been in the GT series, but standards upgraded to premiums, and older GT tracks are what i'm expecting and I would be happy with just that.

I really don't understand why people try to compare GT and Forza, or think what one does will in anyway effect the others sales.

So this timing issue about the Spec 2 release date will not effect Forza 4 sales or even worry Turn 10. I doubt it will steal.

I do think the replay controls, weather controls and mid race saves should have been in the game from day one. Had that been the case, then we should have been given new features in this update. Like an livery editor.

A lot of the same people bringing up Forza 4 in this thread, have been crying whenever someone else brings up the sim. And then they go and do it themselves, completely hypocritical, but watcha gonna do? :)

So here are my 2 cents.
We have nice pic with Kazunoris racing GTR. The thing is I'm not so sure it's photo taken in photo mode. I think it's screenshot from new intro.
For me it means two things:
- we can't be sure that we will be able to drive at late evening on TGTT (lights are on here)
- RM'ed cars in background may be in Spec II, not in coming DLC

I can't wait, 2.0 is going to be awesome, I can't believe all cars will get interior views.

Most will probably be blank black ones so don't get too excited.
Looks like open cockpit cars are the ones getting the slightly nicer version...

That's not bad! In fact, that's pretty awesome. I can't wait for this update!

My god man, that is like tring to polish a turd with those "standard" cockpit views....Pointless. Am I the only one completely dissappointed by this "update"???

Update is awesome! You just don't love this game. It's whole different question.

Wrong forum man! :)

You and... I think yeah, only you and the usual people that love to hate.

Have a nice day.

Yes.*

*Well, there is a bunch of everlasting complainers..

Calling them interior views is a bit dishonest really. Yeah technically its an interior view, but a black silhouette? I think what I would really rather have, is the standard cars, exterior view, being updated to look more like a next gen game. Something on the same level as the cars in Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, that came out last year, would be awesome.
