Here are some things i expect to be in the update (for free):
-The abiliy to change wheels on standard cars
-All LMP cars should be premium.
-More F1 cars like Lotus, Mclaren, Redbull...
-Some tracks from gt4 like the Grand Canyon rally track, Seattle Circuit...
-The ability to re-enter a room if you were booted
-More RM cars, maybe the Mini cooper, and the Viper.
-The ability to turn on the lights on the pace car.
Thats all i can think of right now.

What has PSN names got anything to do with it?

Just though id say, you're using ` instead of ' :nervous:

e.g. It'll not It`ll, just helpin' you out, not flaming 👍

How about learning to spell & practicing what you preach?
These sorts of comments are unnecessary.

I don't see what harm a livery editor can do.

So what if some turd wants to put a johnson on his car. We've all seen and heard a lot worse from just watching TV or using the WWW.

I'm not expecting 2.0 to change my world, it should be pretty damn good though. I have much faith in Kazunori-san.

Well, I can give you this statistics from Time Trials.

Non-bronze time often ranks you around place +/- 50000, so you have to presume how there are more than 50.000 players that are entering the particular TT with unique PSN ID.

Since one-trade-per-day limit was imposed, number of players that are playing with the multiple profiles was drastically reduced (I used to play with 6 profiles simultaneously, now I play only with my original profile, same with 90% of members in my GT community, counting like 120+ members).

So, we can pretty much say how more than 50.000 unique players are constantly coming back to the game, at least as online portion in concerned. Notice you can have only one registered time on TT per PSNID profile, so those numbers are pretty much accurate.

And although you may think how 50.000 is not such a big number (it is less than 1% of the official sales result) I can assure you how having 50.000 player regularly coming to play Time Trial online portion of the game almost a year after release is gargantuan success in the terms of driving genre - and not just driving genre.

However, those the the accurate numbers regarding ONLY weekly entries of the online portion of the game. So, we can only expect that actual numbers for people playing the game in various modes are much greater.

I also read that 80,000 people competed in the Mercedes Benz SLS event as well. There is still a giant market for DLC on this game.

amar is the man! That's why he's the Doctor and we're the students. :D

Indeed. Ever since the "Winds" post, when Amar posts, I listen!👍

Hmm... Dare I say it?

Nah, I'll let you figure it out :p

Edit: D'oh! Tree'd...

It´s ok ! I get the point. :D

And I don´t mind corrections! Thanks :)

Yes, I live in Argentina and I barely can write english! Please be patient :)

And ontopic now, if I have to get the Livery Editor, its ok, but there are things that have to come first !

:)

Analog mate, don't even go there.

You've been warned. Lol.

Yes you're completely right, don't even know why I bother with this thread moving faster than a neutrino, probably a lack of better things to do right now, aka being bored and wondering why my superior insights still aren't accepted as common knowledge, thus repeating them one more time but indeed...meh. ;)

the point of booting is NEVER join the room again .

Working lightbar and on/off swith for the (premium) pace car, pretty please?:dopey:
YES!!

One of my disappointments was finding out that the Pace Car had no lights.

Also,
GT has class feeling to it. Putting some colouring **** on cars would take a bit of it away. This is not some arcade game.

Ever looked at how awesome the cars look in GT and in photomode with the superb lighting? Livery would ruin GT's look.

If you want livery go play forza. Personally i hope kaz never introduces that **** into GT. Just like he never brought that abhorrent rewind **** into the game
Yes, go play that lesser kindergarten toy they call Forza, and let us adults play a real racing game.
Wow :lol:

"Ever looked at how awesome the cars look in GT and in photomode with the superb lighting? Livery would ruin GT's look."

Au contraire, it would enhance GT's look by a million miles. Seeing your own personalised car in photo-mode, instead of generic car #84183, would be a huge buzz and give a new lease of life to photo-mode threads and online lobbies.

And, as mentioned a hundred times, if you don't like livery editors and don't want to look at liveried cars then all PD need to include is an option to turn displayed liveries On or Off.

Simple, really.

I am hoping for a test track like in all the previous full GT titles (including GT PSP).

I'll play again if we get new physics, mainly a new tire model and a realistic draft.

Another good idea would be the option to turn off buildings and other nonessential visual things while online to help cut back, or eliminate lag. I don't know if that would help, but the online racing is rather pathetic as it is now.

Here is to high hopes and being disappointed. :indiff:

I'd pay 10$ for Spa gp track if there was a track downloadable but the question is how is a track DLC that gonna work out online?? and so are the cars when seen by other people :/ and possibly weather change , I mean the weather in spa is always complex.

Or i guess everyone gets an update then you unlock it by paying?

If it came in the patch, it´ll have to have a limited range of customization, and there you have another "flame-war"....

That would completely defeat the purpose then.

It's really not much different than having no livery editor at all. The only real way to limit it is have pre-made templates where you can change colors. So, basically, every car will still look exactly the same, just differing colors. :dunce:

A blank canvas is not a programing nightmare, just give it to us already. If someone makes an obscene livery (which actually isn't as common in Forza as everyone claims it is) then you just report it and move on. It's a small price to pay for the fact that there are some extremely talented artists out there. It also adds a ton more replayability to the game.

More importantly, it's a current generation driving/racing/simulation game standard feature. I would think a GT fan would want their favorite series to be as up-to-date as possible.

All I want....

New Race Mod cars:
Aston Martin DB9 ----> DBR9 GT1
Ferrari F430 ----> F430 GT2
Ferrari F458 ----> F458 GTE
Ferrari F40 ----> F40 GTE
McLaren F1 ----> '95/96 style F1 GTR
Lotus Esprit ----> '96 V8 GT1
Lamborghini Murcielago SV ----> R-SV GT1
Lamborghini Gallardo ----> LP600 GT3
Jaguar XKR ----> XKRR GTE
BMW M3 ----> M3 GTE
Audi R8 5.2 ----> R8 LMS
McLaren MP4-12C ----> MP4-12C GT3
Ford GT ----> Matech GT GT1
Mercedes Benz SLS AMG ----> SLS GT3
Nissan GTR R35 ----> GTR GT1

Tracks:
Bathurst
Spa

If Spec 2 just covers the above and includes features already asked for (livery editor, improvement of features, mid race saves, etc) then I'll be happy.

Some one give this man a cookie, because he hit the nail on the head.

You both speak as if they are the only ones that have voiced which game they prefer. Everyone has a little 'fanboy' in them after all, including you two.

No denying it, but some people just come off as straight up hostile whenever you downplay any aspect of their game..

3rd week of october you say ?
That has the 21st in it which Harold Camping said was rapture and the end of the world...
And DLC is a week later...
End of World/2nd coming of God + GT5 Spec II and DLC ? Coincidence ? I THINK NOT.

Spagetti69
He will in the end. Fan pressure will make him.

He never wanted damage or DLC.

Screw the so called fans then.

More trouble in the end than it's worth: skidmarks, rear lights indicator, weather, damage, NASCAR, (rudimentary) damage, night races and still those greedy buggers give him hell.

I'd really wish PD stopped listening to people wasting their life on a single video game.

Loul.

Gee....this car that car, this track that track, this feature that feature...... Where has everyone been the last 10 months???

First and foremost on EVERYONE's wishlist:

Polyphony introduces/implements an update that they have actually THOROUGHLY TESTED plus doesn't have any 'knock on affects' and it works 100% as it should. Not causing any further problems or have need for a further update to correct problems a previous update has created.

That would be a very welcome change - oh, and something for the non Japanese GT5 players aswell - if only Polyphony would dare think of such a drastic, radical and outrageous course of action like that....

Sigh......roll eyes.... (back to my 143,000 MX5's and oh so pretty race suits and helmets).....

Jump ace just bested my 10 months of trolling with a single picture... Kudos sir 👍

Bit of a coincidence though eh?
