Not bad I suppose, as I thought I think we know almost everything there is to know about the game there will be no big surprise before release other than maybe things we think are in are actually not !, it also appears as 60% of there time has been spent doing the weather! which holds no excitement at all for me to be honest, Yeah it may look real but if a tuned civic is as quick as a mcclaren then they have failed in my eyes regardless of how good the weather looks. gt5 is starting to look (on paper) more and more like grid but with more cars.

... 60% of their time? Why not say 5 years already? They spent time building the tech, to hold everything you see at 720p@60fps and 1080p@60fps, you got no right to diss their efforts.

sorry, i have to disagree!
the old vw beetle was also done by porsche. in fact porsche was charged by a bastard called hitler to produce a VolksWagen (Volk=folk Wagen=car). result: beetle... (the nazis called it officially "KDF car". KDF=Kraft Durch Freude (directly translated: Power by joy). A f&%king slogang of our bad past...


I am afraid porsche won't be in GT5... but I would love that KY proofes me wrong! :sly:

Not that I'm complaining (quite the opposite), but I don't get why they included such a vehicle in the game...lol.

I'd say that's pretty much a certainty, also im hoping that we can change weather in the photomode locations, would love to take a picture of a car while it's raining :D

But it has already been said that the game cannot hold 60fps all the time.
And my other point I was trying to make is yes the weather looks amazing BUT if the cars are unrealistic performance wise, i.e: a tuned civic could race with a mcclaren which could never happen on anything other than a drag race then the weather is pointless because it is a racing simulator not a weather simulator.
 
Hmm really seems like we get all the hints in the GT5P menu... You remember the different locations in the menu, showing weather and temperature? Also I remember that Monza were listed there and we get it! Spa is also listed, cross the fingers we get it!

Also it seems like you really can play each course in real-time weather and day-time?! So I mean you can set (or the game does it automaticly) the weather and the day-time the actual location really has... As we have sun/rain/snow/day/night we really got everything to make that possible... (just my thoughts)

Semantics... given a heavy stress situation, no, Kaz himself said it. But otherwise it is a game done with 60fps in mind and it behaves like that.

And one point doesn't have anything to do with the other. Are you going to trash talk the inclusion of damage and many other things, because they supposedly, took focus away from the balance of cars, performance wise, creating a scenario where a tuned Civic can beat a McLaren F1?
 
Also remember that some stuff didn't make the cut for GT5, so perhaps some tracks like Spa got cut and it will be for GT6. Of course, I'd love to be proven wrong.
 
Wasn't Spa confirmed for GT5?

The Point to Point Rallying sounds awesome imo.

What a waste of time. The only appealing thing about it is that it's an off road vehicle but theres thousands of far better alternatives.

I hate being negative but come on. 6 months to model each car.....

the weather on prologue comes from (playing it now ):Motegi, Estroril, Monte carlo, Suzuka, Jerez, Nurburgring, Sonoma, Shanghai, Tsukuba, Daytona, Imola, Hokenhiem, Spa, Monza, Monterey, Brands hatch, Fuji, Le mans, Silverstone, Zolder, Magny course,
that's 21locations.
